This could be a really easy solution if you're trying to get a small fan somewhere where you have a light fixture, but it didn't work for what I was hoping for. I was planning to use it in my son's room on the ceiling light. It has enough weight that I wasn't comfortable leaving it there, it felt like it was going to pull the fixture down. It has a pretty small blade, so it's not going to move a ton of air. The remote was also very wonky and only worked about half the time, which was frustrating. I ended up just putting a budget ceiling fan in and am much happier with that. I think this would work better on a floor lamp or table lamp instead of on the ceiling.

Just screw in fan like a lightbulb and then turn on the light switch. Use the remote to adjust light and fan settings. The fan is not silent but I do not mind the sound. I love that the timer can be set to turn off the fan and light at a programmed time. Agree with another reviewer, do not loose the remote. Once you use the remote, it is the only way to turn the light and fan back on. Have only been using fan for a short time. So far so good.
