The bookends look as pictured but the wood sides on 4 of 6 bookends were not 100% straight. I tried to bend them a little and a couple were a bit straighter so I am using them. Also, having the metal base under the books does not work for me. The books have to be placed on the base and each time you take a book out you have to rearrange all other books. I feel like the base is in the way and the books have to be placed a certain way or they're not even. I would prefer 2 separate book ends with no base to deal with under the books. It didn't work for cd's either due to base.

I must say, I’m impressed. The walnut finish adds a touch of sophistication to any bookshelf or desk. Despite their sleek appearance, they are incredibly sturdy and capable of holding up heavy books. Nice bookends that are on the smaller side yet adequate to hold nicely. I like that they are not the stodgy old metal ones that look so cheap, but they are not overly decorative in my more rustic decor.

Nice color. Smaller than expected. Does not hold up books very well - works well to divide sections but not heavy enough to work as a bookend.
