Unfortunately it doesn't fit a 3" pipe. So I had to modify it. I wish I'd have thought to look at the size. Because who runs 1"-2" pipe on a roof that would require a split boot? Only fixing an existing roof, or one with existing power needs a split boot. And usually it's 2"-4" in diameter here in the USA. Otherwise it's an awesome product. I bought it for an existing roof, and was still able to make a repair. However I had to cut it to fit, and as added security I covered it in tar all over.

Easy to use, fit well. Did exactly what I needed it to. I wish the top had a little extra space though that I could fit a band clamp around to ensure a lasting seal at the top. With the zipper type connection going all the way up it makes doing that not possible. A little pricey though compared to the other brands. And shipper used fedex which turned into a complete way late nightmare fighting to get it delivered.

An option needs to be produced with a larger flange to attach to roof. Not all metal roofs are created equal. The flange did work but a couple more inches of span for the roof attachment would have made it far easier and maybe I wouldn't have broken one of the aluminum corners. Overall I am satisfied with this product...

This was easy to install. Fit perfectly snug around the stove pipe as long as you cut the correct diameter. I used an exterior silicon sealant very liberally. I screwed it down with sheet metal screws at every inch. I have had no leaks so far after a couple months. I would have given it five stars in value for the money but I think it’s a little pricey for a piece of rubber.

The roof on my observatory has panels with ridges with 9" spacing. The power pole comes up through the center of one of these spacings. The base of the #2 boot is a 6" circle, thus fits between the ridges. Boot came packed with well written directions on placement. Once the weather warms up, I'll install the pole and the boot.
