A Manchester University, N. Manchester, IN, takes a group of students, alumni, and interested persons to remote rural areas of Central America to augment health care and expose the students to other cultures. Now old and mobility limited I am not fit to go but am pleased to supply useful items for them. Amazon provides a very convenient source for things like this.

I’ve tried a couple of other at home otoscope cameras but the picture quality wasn’t great at all and I could hardly tell what I was looking at. The picture quality of this camera is crystal clear! I was able to see my eardrum and was able to look to see where my ears were being clogged with wax. It was super easy to set up- just download a free app and plug it in to my phone. No login or signups required. I also love the fact that you don’t need to charge it, since it just plugs right into your phone. My only issue was that you can’t really tell which way is up. I wish there was some sort of marker telling you which way is the top the camera/image. Other than that, I’m happy to finally have a way to check out mine and my kiddos ears at home!

I want to start this Review by saying Please don't stick things into your ear canal blindly, and always err on the side of caution. I've worked in the medical field for over 20 years and I can only imagine the injuries that can happen with a product like this. So please just be careful, and I'll get off my soapbox.I definitely think this camera is pretty darn cool and has been a lot of fun using this with my brother's kids. I get to do an anatomy lesson and show them what an eardrum looks like, and they get to see how much wax they have built up over their lifetime. The body normally gets rid of any excess, so it's not like you just keep building it up until you go deaf, but when I looked in my ear, I actually had a hair inside my ear canal that was left over from a recent haircut. We were able to get it out which made the experience that much cooler for my nephews.I did have some initial issues with the app you need to download to be able to utilize this camera, but after working on it for a little while I got things figured out. This is the only reason I didn't give this unique device 5 stars. Because the camera itself appears to be very good quality, and the construction and materials look very well made. If anything changes in the future, I'll come back and edit this post.

This little camera is so easy to use, just download the app and go! No charging (so it will drain your phone's battery) and no complicated interface.I did struggle with getting the right angle, there's no indication of top so twisting the camera to figure out which was I was going and trying to keep it straight. Unsure how this could be updated to make it easier to know. Finally, I found the two tips that go on the camera are too far away from it, you think you are further away then feel it, I rather the tips right at the camera since you're working in such a small and delicate space.

This is definitely a cool and useful little tool!Sure, I originally was intrigued and picked it up to check out my ears (which I've always had issues with), but once I saw how easy it was to use this and how clear the images were, I couldn't stop wanting to check other things out!The truth is...This is great for check up on human ears (yours, the kids) AND it's a great way to peek in the dogs ears too. My poor pup has floppy ears and needs them cleaned daily and this has made the process much easier. (Just be careful when working in ANY ear! Eardrums are pretty delicate and easy to damage!)This is PERFECT for looking behind and under tight spaces! Lost an earring under the stove? Want to see what's behind the battery in your car? Any random place that's difficult to see with your eyes is easy to see with this! It's also pretty great for inspecting for tonsil stones! This has the light you want and saves you from poking around aimlessly in the back of your throat to pop those nasty bits out! This is such a great and effective little camera with limitless uses! It's easy to clean (I HIGHLY recommend picking up a second set of 'toppers', especially if you are using between humans, pets and the home. Get a set for each!) Plus, it's easy to use and super affordable.

I got this otoscope because my sons are prone to ear infections and now I have something I can use to check and see if they are infected before taking them to the doctor. It came with all the necessary accesories for a clean and safe view of the inner ear. The picture is clear and provides a good look into an otherwise difficult to see spot. It also came with several tools for removing earwax and debris, just be very careful so as not to hurt yourself or others while using this. We also found that you can use this to get a better look at yhe back of the throat as well. Usb c and lightning adapter for multifunctional use, this is a great medical device that is very easy to use.
