The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because it comes with only one hose seal. If you are planning to hook it up to your downspout, that’s a problem as you will need to get an extra hose seal from somewhere else. The included hole saw is a nice touch and worked well for drilling both the barrel and the downspout. The hose is not the most sturdy and not very long but I only needed a short one. I think it’s fair value fir the price.

I bought this as an overflow pipe on a second rain barrel after buying the linking kit by the same manufacturer. It's really easy to fit, will work on any size, curved sided barrel, and certainly does the job. I would have liked a longer hose, though, even though it's clearly advertised as a 5' hose, so I did know what I was buying. Like the linking kit, it's quite expensive, but it really does work and is a breeze to set up.

I like everything about this product except for a couple things. (1) the length isn’t long the enough if you have a rain barrel that sits on a stand (for gravity purposes of course.).(2) The hose has popped out a couple times despite twisting & pushing to insert into rubber gasket. Maybe if one end of hose had tiny teeth that would bite into the gasket upon insertion??Otherwise this is a handy & effective kit, having the drill bit included was a bonus as I didn’t have that size in my inventory. I recommend purchasing this overflow kit.

I am not a handy person but I found it extremely easy to install. It works just as it is supposed to, an there is no leaking at all. It was a bit pricey but if it saves the basement from flooding then I guess I'd have to say it's worth it.
