  • This axle has a female inboard u-joint. Please verify your axle has a female inboard u-joint before ordering for the 2004 500 Sportsman or the 2004 400 Sportsman. They had 2 different front axle options for these 2 models.

My son just purchased this complete front set for my old 99 sporty that still runs like new(i gave it to him a few years ago). I had rebooted all 4 corners 15 years ago and one of the front boots came apart at the beginning of a 3 day ride...so we just rode it. Axle starting popping bad on our last day. Anyway, swapped left side axle yesterday and these appear to be pretty good quality. I wish east lake would include new roll pins as mine chipped and broke pretty bad driving them out.Will update later after some seat time.
