This heat sink worked very well in a project I made. It has solder lugs at the bottom to mount on your PCB, and the included hardware with included thermal insulator worked perfectly with my TO -220 MOSFET.

I was using LM317s to drop 12v down to 4.5v and it was dissipating a lot of heat. I kept having them die in a few months until I switched to these larger heatsinks.

Asking a technical person to review a heat sink, resistor or capacitor is like asking someone who had bought a box of nails to review them. Nails are used to nail things together and they always work. Heat sinks are used to conduct heat away from transistors and they always work. Why don't you ask for reviews about tape decks or FM tuners? I expect this review to be rejected. It's a message to you people at Amazon.

nice heat sink but would be great if the hole were lower so you could actually screw in the to-220
