This receptacle also provides redundant measure of ground continuity where jumped is used. The floor box assembly is Compliant with 2011 NEC articles 406.12 – 406.14 for tamper resistant receptacles. The side wire terminals accept up to number 10-solid or stranded wire. The push in terminals accepts a number 14-solid wire. The durable impact-resistant thermoplastic face and back body is virtually unbreakable. My husband and I were refinishing our sunroom floor, which had some very old floor receptacles. We were going to buy new ones at Lowe’s. However, these were were similar and at saved us some money, especially since we bought four. My husband installed them, and them look beautiful.

wanted to place a lamp on the sofa table between family room and kitchen and have place to plug in a lighted snow globe during the holidays. Nice outlet box, general speaking, mounting a receptacle in a floor is a fair amount of work...I think it is more the trepidation of cutting a hole in your nice hardwood flooring. Other than that, it turned out great and now my Hurricane style table lamp can live there and I have a place for plugging in other things out in the middle of the room...how did he do that? overall happy with the purchase
