using this in our garden to attach our pear tree to the fence. Have used to attach tomatoes to the stack, along with pepper plants too. I am trying growing zucchini up a stack and this worked as well for it

This is a must tool that you make your plant tie up a lot easier especially if you have tomatoes, beans, or even in my case potatoes with long stems!Initially, I was not having any success and started to question the tool. But after watching youtube videos on how it works, then I got the technique. Occasionally, I will get some misfires but perhaps the tips below will help you The instructions use a lot of words with a few photos but it does not describe it in detail enough. Some tips on using:- watch youtube on plant tie up- ensure that the staples are not in short sections or parts as the spring load will not have have alignment to work consistently- ensure staples are in the chute or put in the chute in the correct position- ensure that the tape is positioned in the channel in the head and is flat with no kinks. There is a groove that easily allows you to feed/slide the tape into- when you grab or hook the tape, you do a very gentle squeeze of the handle, and this is the key, you should see a little lever at the grabber head move. At this point release the trigger handle and you should now have the tape held- very gently push the tape across the branch or point to be secured, then press the trigger handle to its furthest point.- prior to the next securement, check that the tape is correctly positioned in its channelWith this machine, you have about a 2 inch loop max that you can wrap and secure. I also noticed it kind of undersizes so give it some allowance when you wrap it.The tool comes with a great quantity of staples and tapes that will last a typical gardener a long time.

Binding up trees and twigs to stay put during windy weather and keep them upright for growth can be tedious but using this semi automated machine makes the task easier. I found there's a learning curve to getting plant ties mechanism working properly. First loading the roll of string and staples then grasping on the handle gently. Wrapping it around trees means positioning them within its 2" inner diameter. Its great when the machine works but occasionally doesn't pull string out or staple together. As a DIY gardener this machine comes in handy and the included set of rolls is ample for growing vegetables or fruits in the backyard and tying the stems or branches neatly to protect plants.
