I got this for my adult son to practice with (karate). He’s been using it 2 months now and loves it. He’s says the weight and length are just right. It’s been dropped many times and seems quite durable. It comes with a hand shield but not a scabbard.

This fit the bill for dojo use. Great durability, excellent realistic size, weight is relatively correct. Great value.

Martial artist here, I got four of these for a theatre company through a different seller for US$7 each.I am used to dealing with polypropylene swords. These are ok, but I was disappointed at the balance and handling; they are not bad per se, just extremely light so I would not recommend them for martial arts training. They seem sturdy, especially the tsuba (guard) which I thought would be cheap plastic, so it will serve our intended purpose for theatre, they will also be great for cosplay. However, the tip is too pointy to give to children as a toy but could be ok for children training martial arts, since the short size seems good for them (although I would prefer a thinner handle for that).I would not recommend it at this price point unless you want it for a high-end Deadpool cosplay.

This is a well made sword. It almost feels 3D printed. Makes for a perfect addition to my sons deadpool costume.

The only that I liked is the design and structure...Iguess. But this boken is not what I was hoping for. I was so ready to return this until my youngest son saw it. So I let him have it. I'm gonna start paying more closer attention to the reviews.

My son loves this "sword." I was glad to find something he could play with that didn't hurt anyone/thing. He has played with it daily for months and still looks new.

I'd rate it 4 stars overall, except that it's warped. I tried heating it up to straighten it,but it reset to outs leftward bend almost right away.My other nitpick is that the level of detail on the handle and blade is nice, but almost invisible in the matte black plastic. Some color would be beneficial.

Polypropylene Practice Sword is typically an alternative to a wooden bokken. Wooden bokkens can break even with just light impact, while a Polypropylene version will not break unless you really abuse it. The later are also a lot quieter on impact. A bokken is by design a lot thicker in the blade than a steel blade. The blade of this "practice sword" is too thin for any training involving impact of any type. (To be honest, this appears to be more of a costume assessory than a practical training sword.) For non-impact training, it serves its purpose well.
