Yes, ECPPP recommends replacing all componentsof the timing system at the same time. The useof worn sprockets may cause the chain to fail tomesh with the worn sprockets, resulting in poorengine performance.

I used this kit on my CRV engine rebuild. Its been over 1,000 miles and still running. If you're doing the timing I highly....highly recommend getting the "Lisle 77080 19 mm Harmonic Balancer Socket for Honda" (also sold on Amazon). This has worked twice on my Acura and CRV! The crankshaft bolt came out in seconds (after soaking it in penetrating oil for hours). Save the risk and frustration of using a 5' pipe to break loose.

Great price for the whole timing set, didn't feel bad about not using everything and now have spares in case I ever need to go back into the timing cover.
