Simple and Smart - Magnetic Mount Magnetic Adhesive Pads for smoke detectors
The mounting of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors is not only complicated but can get danger-ous quickly because of the wires in the ceiling. This smoke detector magnetic fixing eliminates this risk and saves you time during installation.
The mounting is done without the need for tools and without drilling. Make sure it is attached to a stable, dry, dust and grease-free area.
Universal Magnetic Holders for Common Smoke Detectors with Different Base Diameters
The back is magnetic and suitable for all common fire detectors and smoke alarms with a base diameter of at least 1,97Inch = 1,97Inch magnetic holder or a base diameter of 2,76Inch = 2,76Inch magnetic holder.
The contact surface between the base and the adhesive surface of the magnetic holder should be sufficiently large. Some smoke detectors and wireless smoke alarms have large cutouts or uneven surfaces that can reduce the contact surface. A weak connection occurs when the weight

Mounting without drilling
Step 1
Clean the mounting point on the ceiling. Please use only alcohol to clean the surface, do not use soap or cleaning agents containing soap.
Step 2
Attach the support plate to the intended location on the ceiling and press firmly for 10 seconds.
Step 3
Clean the back of the smoke detector and press it firmly for 10 seconds as well.
Step 4
Wait twenty-four hours and the smoke detector can now be installed by placing it directly on the support plate.

The magnet is very strong. The glue is very weak. All three pads fell off the wall. However, if you use superglue to reinforce, then all is resolved. Love the concept and convenience.

I’ve used this to install two fire alarms, and for both of them the glue wasn’t strong enough, they came crashing down. Wouldn’t recommend.

Have probably ordered about 10 boxes of these now, use them for small tasks such as hanging smoke or CO alarms or certain kinds of flat light fixtures. Incredibly strong, durable, easy to use, everyone that sees them asks where they came from and prefers them vastly to drilling to mount lightweight items. Have not seen an instance yet of one falling off of even rough textured walls - as long as you don't try to mount something crazy heavy!

The adhesive didn't work that well and the smoke detector fell from the ceiling. It could have injured my mom or one of my dogs. I haven't put it back up because I don't want that to happen again, maybe I'll extra secure it with double sided tape.

Got to say, I had no hopes of these being any good because of the low price and all. But I have placed five of them on the ceiling, and they are actually awesome. Sticking to the surface as they should and the magnets are strong enough to hold all my Minut Points and smoke detektors.Bought the 10-pack just to be safe and have some spares. Absolutely worth it!

Really easy to "install" and so far the smoke and heat alarms have remained in placed. So simple! However, these aren't so good for using with CO detectors which are typically hung on the wall rather than from the ceiling. In fairness the product doesn't claim to be suitable for this use but worth flagging it up in case anyone is thinking about using them for CO detectors as well.

These work GREAR, the magnet is VEEY strong - I used it to mount a security camera but it could take much more weight & I could think of a zillion ways to use them. Would buy again
