Excellent value

This umbrella is quite large and impressive, and I love the solar feature with the lights. However, the instructions were difficult to follow, and I found that it is too windy where I live for this umbrella to be practical. Also, I have to take it down every time I use it. Given these factors, I probably would put serious thought into getting an umbrella like this again.

I was a bit skeptical about the solar-powered lights, but they're actually really bright and add a nice ambiance to my outdoor space. The umbrella itself is sturdy and well-built, with 8 ribs that provide excellent support. The cantilever design allows for easy movement and adjustment, and the adjustable tilt is super convenient. The solar panel on top is surprisingly powerful, and it's been charging the LED lights all day without any issues. The lights themselves are very bright and have a nice warm glow - it's like having a little party in my backyard!

This is a good umbrella for a deck or a backyard. There are a couple of things you need to keep in mind. When not in use, you need to close the umbrella. If you fail to do this, winds will topple the umbrella. Secondly, you need to put some kind of weight on the base. Sand works well, but you need to put something. If not, the product will topple over.

I did need some help assembling this. The instructions were lacking and we just tossed them and figured this out on our own. What is important to remember is that once you have the umbrella up and are expanding it, the piece in the middle will be hanging by the supports and there is a string in the middle. Fully expand the umbrella until the string pulls the two support pieces together. You will then be able to push the pieces together if they are out of alignment. It should be one solid piece in the center once done. There is an on/off switch for the solar lights and the solar panel just plugs into the top of the umbrella. The lights came on immediately out of the box. Per the product description, this comes with a cross-bar foot support only. You must buy the weighted base to go with this. I filled my 4-piece base with sand & water and that umbrella is not moving. I wiggled the umbrella back and forth to see if the base pieces moved or tipped up and they were stead-fast. Once fully expanded, this has a great shade range and you can angle the shade by moving the cantilever arm up or down. I didn't find any fault with any of the parts; all looked pretty sturdy to me.

This 10’ Cantilever Hanging Umbrella with Solar Powered LED Lights has many positive qualities and is a good value for the costs. The LED lights along the underside ribs of the umbrella is plenty bright on a full charge and lasts for hours. I also like that the umbrella can be dynamically repositioned from directly overhead at midday to perpendicular for late afternoon as the sun is setting.Couple issues I have with this umbrella is the lack of ability to position the umbrella tilt at any angle - there is a lock sleeve for when it is fully overhead but from there there’s no way to lock it at say 45 degree tilt. I also find it hard to fully open the umbrella - the crank works easily until the last couple inches and then it gets very hard like you might break it.The last note I’d like to highlight for others is that if you’re not planning to bolt this umbrella down to your deck you absolutely need to get weights for the base, 100 lbs or more depending on how much wind you have how you position the umbrella tilt.

Pros:- The design for this is nice, it looks fairly modern and feels durable once it's put together. Raising and lowering the umbrella is easy enough with the handle.- Very bright lights cover a nice area for a large circular or rectangular table.Cons:- My biggest complaint is that this umbrella does not stand on its own when the umbrella is out. It has to be screwed down or secured in same way. That's not mentioned in the description or made clear but it won't stand on its own. This seems to be a massive issue as we did not plan on getting some other kind of weight to hold it down. So now the only way to use it, is to have to purchase more pieces.- The brown and black color scheme doesn't look the best, I think sticking with black on black or black and tan would look better.Overall:This is a nice umbrella that could work for some folks but the price and lack of functionality makes this hard to recommend. The fact that it cannot stand on it's own unless it's either secured or weighed down is annoying but it should be in the description so people know right away.
