I looked at reviews before ordering and agree weld could be better and alignment was slightly off, but not so bad I couldn’t install. But the crash bars seem rugged and should perform well if I go down. For the price, you can’t beat it.

I think for the money this is a pretty solid unit and definitely should protect the engine and plastics from a dump. However, I'm giving it 3 stars because it us so difficult to install. The procedure is pretty straight forward and it would beca quick install except NONE OF THE HOLES LINE UP with the positions on the motorcycle you're trying to put bolts through. It took a lot of prying, clamping, pushing, and pulling to get everything aligned enough to get the bolts started. It's like they have no quality control and don't test fit these to an actual KLR after manufacturing. If they're using a jig to fabricate them, the jig is wrong.I finally succeeded in installing the unit after a lot of sweat and swearing. It looks good and is very solid but I dread the day I need to remove it for maintenance or repair. It may not go back on if I do.

Cant say enough bad things about this piece of junk. Bolt holes don't line up, bad welds, weak bolts(go buy some grade 8's if you really ride your klr), wrong bolts for the subframe mount, 4 cheap bolts for the downtube clamp are really hard to put in the way they built this thing. Any junior fabricator could do a better job than this. Had to clamp and pry in several spots to get this on. Sticks out farther on the sides than I like. Go find a better one-should have known better. Debating on returning this but have a half day invested in the install. Pissed.

They installed fairly easy, bolt holes lined up, correct hardware. The instructions could be better but if you’re mechanically inclined at all it’s pretty straightforward. Once installed they feel very sturdy. Very happy with them over all.

Should work just fine. Installation requires removal of tank and side fairings and lining up holes can be a little difficult but not impossible. I think it took me 2-3 hours to install but I'm slow and methodical. These less expensive crash bars seem like they should protect the bike well.

I was dubious on going with these over the Tusk brand but I needed the savings. These bars installed perfectly. All bolt holes lined up just right, and these bars are tough.I gave this a 2 star on ease of installation because it is a bit of a project. So happy to not have to JB Weld a fairing next time I lay the bike down. I ride rough terrain.

Very poor craftsmanship. Welds were bad. Didn't clean up the welds before painting. Holes wouldn't line up. Instructions were over complicated by using engineering terms.
