This bracket is made of steel and features a black power coated finish. This bracket comes with an Edelbrock carburetor with an added twist and a quick tune secondary air valve. Well, I have a Weaton manifold and assumed it work work as it was vortec, no go, this thing is designed for elderbrock and my manifold had stuff in the way. Otherwise very well built

Reading the bad reviews I was skeptical about this part. After carefully following directions and bolting up it worked great! Used on a no name vortec square bore intake and factory throttle body on a '88 Chevrolet K1500 with a 5.7L.

Bought this for 1986 Monte Carlo ss with vortec style intake . Worked well with 200r tv cable

If you mount this on your vortec it will literally be sitting 2 inches to the left of where you want throttle/trans linkages. If you flip the bottom bracket then it snugs up to your valve cover. This is the only way it will work as it is a straighter shot…I was able to make this work but not like pictured. It did take modifications. Wasn’t worth $55. You could bolt this thing to an edelbrock intake with edelbrock carburetor and it wouldn’t work!and to top it all off your edelbrock air cleaner will hit it right after you’ve just spent a bunch of time modifying this bracket and setting your cables... as a final unforeseen last kick in the nuts from edelbrock

Do yourself a favor and don't but this part. It doesn't work, the geometry is all wrong. When mounted on your intake as shown, the throttle cable is behind the carburetor. Several others and I have been fooled by this product, see thread here:[...]
