The PINCH is the first device on the market that can be attached directly to the central ring of the climbing harness. Thanks to its low, close-to-the-body position, the PINCH does not need to be fixed in place when releasing the rope and the brake rope can always be gripped with all fingers.

Hatte die letzten 10 Jahre den Eddy von Edelrid zum Sichern im Toprope und Vorstieg im Einsatz. Es war Liebe auf den 2. Blick, da das Handling komplett anders ist. Toprope kein Problem aber beim Vorstieg war es am Anfang gewöhnungsbedürftig und etwas hakelig. Wenn man sich eingewöhnt hat (ein Kletterabend in der Halle), ist der Pinch wesentlich besser beim Seilausgeben zu handeln als der Eddy. Ich bin Linkshänder und kann sagen, dass der Pinch zu 100% für uns Linkshänder-Minderheit geeignet ist. Das Einzige, was ich nicht so gute finde ist, dass Kunstoffteile (Ablass-Hebel) im Gegensatz zum Eddy (full heavy metal) verbaut sind. Also besser nicht Fallen lassen. Mal schauen, wie sich das hinsichtlich "Unverwüstlichkeit" auf Dauer bemerkbar macht. Mein alter Eddy funktioniert noch wie am ersten Tag und der hat einiges mitgemacht. Trotzdem 5 Punkte, da ein wirklich innovatives Produkt.

Heute angekommen und auch ausprobiert, finde ich toles Gerät, gute Bearbeitung, mit diesem gerät zu sichern, mach total Spaß

Dai primi test (per il momento in palestra) il Pinch sembra rispondere ai requisiti promessi di assicuratore/discensore innovativo e sicuro. Interessante la doppia certificazione che ne consente un uso duale sportivo/soccorso.
