I would have given 5 stars but, as you can see from the pics I took, there’s a bit of a gap in the front that’s not in the back, which renders the magnet in the front unless.

Very nicely made, perfect for sliding the top off the base to access the salt and then back again. A good fit making it airtight, ideal to keep salt dry. It's beautiful too, lovely solid wood and the engraving is perfect.

I love the salt canister. I feel like a chef when I use it. It's great that the lid is attached which makes it functional. It looks good and is a nice size.

I live in a very humid climate. The salt was always getting moisture and it would end rusting my salt shakers. With this box the salt remains intact. The wood absorbes the moisture and it is easy to use for cooking or just to keep it on the table for your guests to use. I keep a very small wooden teaspoon Inside but you can use your fingers as well. Very useful and a great problem solver

If you are a pinch of salt type of person this is the item for you. Fille dit with Kosher Salt and it has stayed fresh for over a month now. No clumping or moisture seeping in to ruin the salt and i store it right on top of the back of the stove. best little knick·knack buy i have made.4 stars as the magnet could be better, but no issue with it opening unintentionally, and interior finish could be better. Neither of which is a deal breaker.

I bought some salt flakes for the first time a while ago and realized that they can't be put into a standard shaker. I was just grabbing the box as needed but decided to find a container for it instead. I saw several at a decent price but not all said Salt on it, something I really wanted so no one accidentally thought it was sugar. I finally came across this one and it looked perfect. It arrived quickly and looked really nice right out of the box. It holds a good amount of salt flakes and the lid just swivels so you don't have to worry about it coming off. It doesn't come with a spoon like some others do but that's not a big deal. It's cute, well made and easy to clean. It doesn't take up much room on the counter and makes using the flakes so much easier. I'm glad I purchased it.
