Look at the photos others have taken and put on here it is a waste of time. It is made out of terribly thin metal, it was bent right from the factory, two screws with bolts hold the head onto the handle and if you tighten them it crushes the hollow metal . . . just junk seriously . .. stay away

The tool’s handle crumpled like a paper straw after I had dug only six holes in soft, tilled top soil. The product is of low quality.

This thing is awesome! It makes planting fast and easy. The only issue I have with it is that the dirt can be a bit of a pain to get out. Aside from that, it's perfect.

Used this to plant 70-something bulbs last autumn. We do have sandy soil with some rocks, and while this tool was able to dig out holes for my bulbs, the working end was coming loose from the handle after 10 or so bulbs. It never came apart, which is good, and the screws may simply need tightening... BUT, I probably won’t bother:I was not at all able to release the dirt from the tool, making using it a pretty frustrating experience. I tried sliding the plugs of dirt out, with no success. Eventually had to resort to pushing the plugs out with the handle of another garden tool, which was messy and inefficient, and essentially negated the point of having a long handled tool. I was down low having to push dirt out every time, standing back up to dig every time, bending down, standing up, etc. and needing to use two separate tools meant I had no free hand to hold a bulb, so anyway, it was pretty laborious all-in-all.For what it’s worth, this was my first time planting bulbs (so I’m no seasoned pro), and my first tool of this type to use or own. So, maybe it’s better than many out there? But I wasn’t impressed.

I already have owned a long handled bulb planter and it self destructed after planting 6 bulbs. I had to throw it away. I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy this bulb planter is. I am delighted with my purchase and this seller. I recommend both of them highly.

We had a similar long handled bulb planting tool from a well known Canadian company which was made of much lighter material. That one broke after less than one season of use. Very pleased that this Edward Tools product is much sturdier and made of good stock. Looking forward to bulb planting this fall and not expecting any problems with this product.

I bought this bulb planter so I wouldn't have to get down on hands and knees. It worked really well. I thought the dirt would be stuck in the planter but it just shook out. I planted at several different depths for different kinds of bulbs. It's so sturdy I'm sure this will be a tool I'll pass down to my grandchildren. Would buy this again in a heartbeat.
