This is an inherently cool lens shape. I got several different of these eisco lenses, and they are all packed nicely, and are perfect lenses for kids or an educational setting. They are perfectly smooth and clear, they are washable (no coatings), and reasonable durable (no scratches yet). These are not in any way intended for use by someone doing serious optics.

The lens arrived well packaged and as expected. There are no nicks or dings in the glass, and it behaves as one would expect a concave lens to behave.
