Laboratory quality gas burner with an aluminum burner mixing tube, brass flame stabilizer, and a die cast zinc alloy base. Suitable for use with natural gas (methane). Burner comes equipped with a serrated inlet arm that measures 8mm in diameter and 1" in length. Accepts 6-8mm tubing. The stabilizer allows for safe and easy adjustment of flame.

Burner measures 6.5" tall, and the base measures 3" in diameter.

Inexpensive natural gas burners but good quality. They perform the way they are suppose to.

These are fine if all you need is a yellow flame for relatively low-temperature operations, but they do not function as a bunsen burner, because the air intake vents are far too small, relative to the size of the main tube, to allow for forming a proper conical flame. I will be attempting to modify mine to get them to function properly, but I don't have high hopes for such modification, and will probably end up having to write them off, and either try a competitor's product, or build my own.

There is an air flow adjustment, but no gas flow adjusment. The flame is nice and strong, but the lack of gas flow adjustment limits the usefulness of this burner for many applications.

For the price I would not expect more. The base is not solid and heavy therefore the burner tends to fall over if the pipe gets bumped or pulled. Quality is fair. This is not for lab use, but perfect for home and education purposes.

This little guy is a champ. Airflow and flame shape/height is awesome. I'm curious to see what the hell the mechanical differences between the "Natural Gas, Propane, and Synthetic Gas" versions are (if any). I'm not sure how that would change anything, but I bought this one just to be safe since I was using natural gas.
