It's the same brand and style as the one used at my physical therapy office which is why I wanted it, but its armhole is pretty tight. An average-sized to large man probably wouldn't be able to fit his arm through. The one at my PT doesn't have an armhole at all. It's still better than trying to use several cold gel packs at once.

As many others have said, this was bought based on being used by my physical therapist. The others I have tried are cheaper, never fit very well nor durable. This one is a much better fit, dare I say perfect for my shoulder. It is much heavier than the other gel packs, however I like this. It drapes over my whole shoulder and upper arm, unlike those others which have to be contorted to try to fit, but never really do. Holds the cold for about 15 minutes. Therapist suggests 10 minutes is more than enough. Also suggest using it multiple times a day versus longer sessions.

Highly recommend this shoulder back. I purchased three different shoulder packs prior to this one and all were subpar compared to the one listed here. This pack is the exact one that they were using at my Physical Therapy and it works perfectly.

This is a great product. Gets very cold in freezer and stays cold for 1/2hr. Second one I purchased. We seem to have multiple shoulder injuries in family at the same time. Comes with lots of straps and buckles which we cut off, weight of pad holds it in place.

I had purchased another shoulder ice wrap. It had the removeable ice packs that you insert into the wrap. It was very cumbersome and you had to "massage" it to get it conform to your shoulder. Even then it didn't work great. I ordered the Elasto Gel and it is fantastic. 1) it conforms to your shoulder. You don't have to try and "work it" into place. 2) It is very COLD. Probably because it fits so well and secondly because the "foam" it is made out of just gets colder than those ice packs. 3) It is extremely easy to put on and take off. No turning and stretching to get it on. Just slide it over your arm and clip the chest strap in place. I would 100% recommend this product.

I looked a long time to find the same item my PT used. I'm 5 11 and 170 lbs, and find it a bit big. It only stays cold for about 15 minutes or so. It's a little clumsy to put on. I had shoulder surgery last year and I must say it is great. The right amount of coldness and covers the whole upper arm and shoulder. It's worth the trouble. Recommended

We rate this a 5 for being very cold and really like that it wraps around the whole arm and shoulder area without having separate ice packs to velcro to the unit. The whole unit is ice cold. We rate it a three for easy to use as one really needs a second person to help the injured person put the heavy pack on the shoulder and strap it on. Would highly recommend this product and I first used it at my Physical Therapy Office.

Used this after rotator cuff surgery. It works well. But is difficult to use as you have to put your upper arm through the closed cuff. It would probably be better if the upper arm cuff was open and you just used the elastic strap to close it after putting it on. It does cover the arm or the deltoid well. But I think I would recommend using the rectangular gel pad for post-op as after rotator cuff surgery near not supposed to abduct the shoulder at all.
