Purchased for a budget build to get the van back on the road. Checked taper and plunger movement prior to soaking in mineral spirits followed by compressed air and oil bath. Van runs perfectly smooth with no unusual valve train noises or bleed down. Very happy. Mated to a used Schneider 270 cam. Yes, you can use new lifters on a good used cam but not the other way around.

These are NOT for a Chevy V8. I have a 5.3 liter V8 and these were 3/4 inch too short. And now I can't return them because I soaked them in oil prior to installing (like you're supposed to do). I didn't realize it until I removed the old parts and compared. I had to find a ride to the auto parts store to buy correct parts. Lesson learned.
