It takes about four weeks for the device to loosen up to a normal resistance. Then by the next month, mine fell apart. While exercising my foot the tension released and a screw and washer and spring sprang out! Now it is too late to return it. The plastic held up though.

This was recommended to me by physical therapist as part of my ankle rehab as I was not making enough progress with the other basic DIY home arch exercises. After using this daily for just a few weeks, I can feel and see a difference In the strength of my arch and my ability to balance on one leg. The blue pro model is perfect for me now, but if I had tried this earlier in my Rehab, I might’ve needed to start with the original version.

Came in a few hours ago. Im loving it already. Do I wish it could have more tension? Yes. 100%. But nothing is perfect. Good enough for me to use while sitting and watching YouTube videos. A quick trick. Do not use it with your knee right on top of the tool. Your knee should be more of a 45° from the tool (while sitting). Because the ankle is not locked, you can pull a little more with the toes which makes me feel like I'm working it more. With my knee over the tool, i barely feel anything. Maybe it's just me, but it works for me. Just try it I guess

If I had stronger feet and toes, I would not be looking for something like this. I have CP and I read the reviews on the less powerful ones saying how easy they were, so I chose this one. For me, though, this unit is going to be my goal unit. I could not pull it back even a little bit, so I am here to find one of the other Elgin devices, maybe the hot pink one. I think once I grow out of the less powerful one, I will likely be ready for this one. If you need a strong, powerful spring, this blue unit will be good for you. I just hope at the end of this journey, it will improve my sense of balance.

I really like exercising non-traditional muscles as I feel that it will really set me up for injury prevention. In the past, I did competitive powerlifting and feel that I had a lot of weaknesses due to the simplicity of only targeting "the big 3" this allows me to have healthy feet, something very important not only in lifting but all day as they are my "foundation" and connection to the earth!

Really happy with this Elgin Archexerciser. I try to do everyday, 10 reps on each foot x 3 sets. I have used this machine with my Physiologist to assist with my feet and toe problems, so decided to purchase my own. I do think it helps my feet. This product seems sturdy and a good price on Amazon and was delivered in days which was great during the Christmas season.

I am healing up from a stress fracture in my heel caused by plantar fasciitis. My Physical Therapist has one of these "Archxercisers" and I decided to buy one for myself. I must say my healing has accelerated since I have been able to do these exercises daily instead of just twice a week when I go in for my P.T. appointments. I can feel the strength returning to my toes and arch. I will continue to use this device well after I get a clean bill of health.
