Our century-old house has very different temperature and humidity levels in different rooms on the two main floors, basement work area and partially finished attic. I have a variety of fans, humidifiers, dehumidifiers et al to help keep each space comfortable and I also have several hygrometer/thermometers scattered around to provide the information I need. This Elitech device is, in principle, helpful because it lets me monitor conditions without having to trudge up or down steps. The ability to record data over time is a very nice bonus, as is the large display. I do, however, have a few concerns. The internal sensor often reads 1 to 3 degrees Fahrenheit higher than other nearby temperature monitors and even than its own external sensor sitting right next to it, 71.8 degrees compared to 69.1 degrees at the moment. Perhaps this is due to internal heat generated within the electronics but it is hard to ignore or forgive. It is also worth noting that the external sensor reads only temperature, not humidity. Perhaps most important it seems that every time I close the app I lose the Bluetooth connection and have to fuss with the device control and my phone to reestablish it. This seems to require pressing a button on the display unit and that undercuts its utility for me or for anyone else who is not willing to run the app continuously. I have another device that lets me monitor temperature and humidity at a separate sensor over a wireless connection, not Bluetooth, and it handles this task with less effort.

I ordered this Hygrometer Thermometer data logger to help monitor plants started indoors from seed, monitoring the humidity and temperature of the air and also of the soil with the included external probe. What I really like about this unit is the integration with the app via Bluetooth to not only view detailed graphs of the data, but also export to excel/pdf for further analysis. It also gives you the ability to station the device remotely and log up to 100 days (or up to 5,000 data points) of data which will then sync to your device when back in range. Since the device uses 3 AAA batteries it can run for 6 moths before replacement and you never have to worry about failure of a built in rechargeable battery. Displayed on the screen of the device is temperature, humidity, time, and a selectable 12 hour temperature history. The back of the unit has a strong magnet for attaching to a refrigerator and a fold out stand for setting on a table. The unit is built very solidly and is a bit thicker than expected at 3/4”. The external probe has a length of 6 feet and allows for more extreme temperature changes. I found the accuracy to be spot on with the temperature and within 1-2 degrees for the humidity so excellent for data logging. The app was a little buggy with the menus and sometimes had issues with connecting to Bluetooth, but these can all be remedied with app updates. Overall, a solid temperature logger that is built to last.

This thermometer is exactly what I needed for my room, which tends to run warmer—so it's annoying at night when I’m trying to sleep. With this little gadget, I can finally keep tabs on the temperature and make smart adjustments using my thermostat. It has both internal and external sensors, which is pretty cool if you want to monitor different areas like a fridge or cabinet. But I use it just for my room. The display is easy to read, and the app gives you a full breakdown with charts, stats, and exportable data (which I don’t really need, but it’s nice to have). However, it could be a bit more user friendly.A couple of things to note: the app only works when it’s open and Bluetooth is on. If you close the app, it won’t record the data, and you’ll have to manually reconnect it by pressing the thermometer's button. It’s a little clunky, but once you know how it works, it's manageable.Overall, super useful and accurate—especially for someone who likes to fine-tune their space. Just keep the app open and you’re golden!

This Elitech IPT-100 has become an unexpectedly valuable tool despite some initial setup hiccups.First, the good: the orange device delivers impressive precision with its dual sensors. The 0.1°F temperature resolution has proven accurate enough for my calibration needs, and the large digital display makes readings visible from across the room. Battery life is exceptional - running continuously for months on just three AAA batteries means less maintenance interruptions. The data logging capability is where this device truly shines. Being able to review trends from the past 12 hours directly on the device itself is convenient, but the app's graphing and export features elevate this from just a thermometer to a proper monitoring system. I've exported several PDF reports that required zero formatting before sharing with colleagues.Setup, however, wasn't as seamless as I'd hoped. The Bluetooth pairing was frustrating - my device wasn't listed among compatible options initially. The QR code directs to numerous manuals, with English buried near the bottom (keep scrolling!). Once configured though, the intuitive interface makes regular use straightforward. My biggest limitation is the Bluetooth-only connectivity. Having WiFi capability would allow remote monitoring of my lab when off-site, but at this price point, I can't complain too much about that missing feature.
