Includes pre-assembled friction pads to prevent the mount from walking/moving under recoil. Gauge Adapters are included for use with shotguns chambered in 20-gauge. Weapon-grade flashlights from 0.7 to 1.05 inches in diameter (18 to 26 mm) may be used. This includes all Elzetta Modular Flashlights. The ZSM may be installed on either the right or left side of the gun providing natural operation of flashlight Tailcap switches. The position of the ZSM also allows for illumination of the front sight in many applications. Made in USA.

Bought it, installed it in minutes, tried two different flashlights (Surefire and another), both fit no problem. It's easy to adjust as needed, light weight, and well made. I think the manufacturer should upgrade it to include metal threaded inserts in every bolt hole, instead of a combination of plastic and metal.

Tried a couple other more expensive mounts before, and they either failed, or didn’t fit. Very solid mount, though plastic, the quality is stout and solid...I admit that I took a few taps with a hammer to move it and it didn’t budge, should handle recoil very well. Went on quick. The only drawback I see is that it will have to be removed if and when you want to clean the tube or take off the barrel for any reason.Otherwise, if you have a hex set, you’ll be ok even if you lose the included tools. I used my own hex set to install them anyway. There are instructions and pieces to install on smaller bores, such as .410, and 20, though it mentions some filing or sanding needed. Also included are clips/adapters for .70” up to 1”.Very easy, works and holds strong. Once my light comes in, I plan to take it out and send about 100 shells through it to see how it holds up.

This mount seems to be very well made, and worked very well for mounting a Streamlight 88850 Polytac LED Flashlight on my Mossberg 590 12 gauge. The mount comes with adapters so you can mount to a .410 or 20 gauge, but with the 12 gauge I didn't need to use them. Adapter are also provided for various size flashlights (need adapter for lights 0.70" to 0.97"). With the Streamlight 88850, I didn't need to use any adapters; the flashlight fit perfectly (after removing the slip, which is easily done by un-screwing the head, removing the rubber o-ring, then slipping off the clip).I've mounted the light just in front of the forward position of the pump fore-end. This is an ideal position as my thumb can operate the tail switch of the light when gripping the fore-end in the normal position.Removal for dis-assembly of the shotgun or barrel removal is quick and easy, just a couple of hex screws. The flashlight can be removed with a single hex-head screw (a thumb-screw model is available, or you can order the thumb-screw alone for about $7 from Elzetta's web site).

Ok so I bought this flashlight mount specifically because I have the elzetta zfm-1500 for my AR and I love that mount. I do like this one except, I'm a little disappointed about the mounting hardware. When installing the mount to your firearm there are two smaller bolts that secure the bottom of the mount, these are fine no problems. Then there are two larger bolts that are put in the mount and are in between the barrel and magazine tube and here's where the problem is. At first I put it on, it fits well no problems, but I wanted to to move the mount foward a bit. So I took the the mount off and to my surprise the larger bolts when in the mount and tightened were hitting the magazine tube. These larger bolts scratched the finish right off of the magazine tube!!! I can see the shinny steel where the bolt sit and took the finish off and even left thread marks in the tube. Now again I have a 590A1 and I know this is a universal mount so maybe this isn't a problem for other shotguns. But on my gun these bolts are definitely scratching the finish. But as mad as I am I still like this mount. It's a solid product and works very well. It's not like I can't shoot the gun, I just want other people to know there's a chance this could happen because I'm sure there are people out there who don't want a single scratch on thier guns.Other than that, it would be a five star review. The mount is solid when placed, the flashlight doesn't move at all, it's very light weight and looks great.

This mount works perfectly on my Mossberg 590A1. The Elzetta mount installs in about 3 minutes. I'm impressed with the quality.**Update**I was looking at other reviews of this product and thought I would clarify a couple of things. I now have this mount on TWO shotguns, the original Mossberg 590A1 and also a Mossberg 500. Both of them have a 20 " barrel, so there is absolutely no issue with the fit or interference with the action. If you have an 18" barrel, I can't say if this mount will work for you or not.Someone suggested in a review that the mount was somehow squeezing the mag tube and preventing the rounds from moving properly. I have not experienced this on either gun and have fired them both many times since putting the mounts on.I use a Streamlight flashlight on the 590A1 and a SecurityIng flashlight on the 500. I haven't had a issue with either light being affected by the recoil of the gun. Both are well made lights, a lesser quality light might not be as durable.I have three pictures attached to this review, two are of the 500 and the other is the 590.
