These things have been around forever. It's pretty much like the ones I had in the 90s. It works the same way. The handle is a little bigger and easier to hold. You have to make sure to squeeze hard to get the letter clearly shown. I feel like it takes more effort than the old ones. Not that it's hard at all, just something to be aware of. It has a good selection of letters and symbols. It does what I need it to. It cuts well, though the scissor icon is difficult to make out. 4 stars for thsi label maker.

Works OK - the lettering is good, and the whole thing is pretty straight forward to use. 2 issues - one it just feels flimsy, and makes me nervous about really squeezing the lever. 2 - the alignment is awful. The tape isn't retained well, so your letters jump up-and-down in vertical alignment.Also, if you forget to put in a few spaces after cutting the tape, your next letter is only half on the tape.It works - just... there's some quirks and annoyances.
