A resistor on my original board fried and took out my HVAC system right before summer hit. I called a repair man and he showed me what I needed to get and do to fix it myself. So I got this board, it took a little extra thought because it is an upgraded board so pins don't connect exactly the same way, but I got it figured out and it's been working for a few months now.

This replaced a white-rodgers 50A51-215 board from my Amana Air Command 80 SSE furnace. Never had problems for over 20 years and suddenly my old board died. Seems to work well, hopefully as long as my old board!Update: board has been working perfectly for weeks now and we are nice and warm!

I live north of Duluth Minnesota where it gets mighty cold. I'm a certified plumber and my furnace crapped out and I traced it back to bad control board. After a week of looking in town and the best price was $800 I looked other places such as amazon and this guy pulled thru. Will use you again when in a bind, thank you much

but there is a hum coming from the board. Don't know if it's normal for this board, but it's annoying. The pegs nor holes of the board lined up with the furnace, but instead of drilling new holes, I used insulated wires to attach the board. There is no shroud or cover for the board. It's a bare board. The orientation of the plugs were directly opposite of the original. It did NOT come with wire extensions, contrary to what the user manual says. I had to splice a longer wire to one lead. The other leads barely reached their terminals. The terminals are very close together, so close that the insulated plugs push against each other. The furnace seems to be operating correctly now. Will see how long it last. The humming from the board does not instill confidence in me that this is a long lasting item.

ordered from partshousesupply. received USPS priority in 5 days.replaced in Trane XL80. ignitor had correct bracket for install but had to use own metal screw to mount ignitor to bracket. (The removal of the old bracket requires a tiny ratchet with socket, as it is in a tight location.)circuit board mounts to original holes.Neutrals on board were labeled with numbers which are different than original OEM board. So had to interpret from "WIRING" page of provided manual by assigning the numbers in the order of the terminals from top to bottom.(E17 = CIRC N, E18 = LINE N, E19 = XFMR N, E21 = EAC N is what worked for me)Other terminals required just duplicating the wire connections. (label the wires before disconnecting)It took me roughly 2 hours because my furnace is in the attic. And had to splice the wiring for the new ignitor to attach wires to old connector. Also had to decipher the terminal assignment to connect the Neutrals.Total service quote for labor and parts was $950 from local service company.

My Train XL 80 (m/n: TDD100R945E0) furnace stopped heating. No error codes were indicated by the control board LED. Observing operation, it seemed that the control board was properly cycling through heat control stages including firing the ignitor. Checked voltage at gas valve and found no voltage at any point in the heat cycle. Most likely a failed relay on the old control board. This new board installed easily. The included ignitor also came with a wide variety of mounting hardware. Followed the instructions and installed ignitor using existing hole and screw. All back in good working order.2018-01-04 Update: The first board failed within 3 weeks. Board would no longer sense the flame sensor current even though I confirmed the current to be 3.5 micro Amps with flame present. Received a replacement board and it failed in the same way within 4 weeks. Now waiting on a 3rd board. Seems like a huge quality control problem going on at Emerson White-Rogers.

Fixed my Trane XL80. Board is well labeled. Kinda strange that the connections are reversed from the original (i.e.the connectors on the side are in the reverse order from top to bottom) but they all reached okay. Rather than use the "universal" bracket with the new ignitor I used the old one so that the ignitor ended up in the proper location without drilling. (I bought a second one later from a second source for my other Trane XL80 and the old style bracket was included.) I'm not sure why the picture showed adapter connectors for the two white sockets but they didn't come with it and weren't needed.

The fan motor for my Trane XL 80 appeared to have failed as it would not cycle on after the gas had ignited. The failure however was not the fan but the fan contact relays on the furnace motherboard.White Rogers does not manufacture the original motherboards any longer so you must buy this universal replacement motherboard. The documentation included is not intended for an end consumer, so it's a little confusing. You must also use a new 120V ceramic igniter as the older motherboard used a lower voltage igniter. This is where the real trouble comes in, the universal 120V igniter is not a direct replacement. When the igniter was installed it would not ignite the gas, and the furnace went into lockout mode . I had to drill new holes and bend the universal sheet metal bracket to move the igniter into the gas flow. Once that was done the furnace ignited the gas and operated correctly.
