The Emile Henry glazed pizza stone is made of all natural materials and is manufactured using Emile Henry proprietary flame technology. The pizza stone can withstand high oven temperatures. The glaze is micro-crazed contributing to crispy well-baked crusts, just like a pizza oven. The pizza stone is not recommended for use on the stovetop. You can cut directly on the glazed pizza stone without damaging or scratching the surface. The pizza stone is easy to clean with soap and water and is dishwasher safe. Designed for use: in ovens - conventional and convection; and can also be used under the broiler. On grills - Gas, Charcoal and natural wood. The pizza stone turns a grill into an outdoor pizza oven. For non-glazed pizza stones, it is recommended for deep cleaning to use the self-cleaning cycle on your oven. Since our pizza stones are glazed and can be cleaned regularly in the dishwasher and by hand washing, we do not recommend this type of cleaning. For more information download use and care manual.

We love this stone. We had the previous one for just under 10 years when it cracked in half. It has a 10 year warranty and the company sent us a new one right away. Great customer service and amazing warranty!!

I use this product when I make homemade pizzas. I put a sprinkle of cornmeal down and then my crust. The cornmeal helps it to slide off when cooked. I have an induction oven but I cook the pizza on my bottom rack. The handles are a must. I have a pizza stone without handles and it is too awkward. Probably fine for someone with a pizza oven. This is an excellent product. I never buy pizza anymore.

Emile Henry cooking stones are awesome. They don't smell odd when heated up.They are durable. They wipe clean very easily. The color is gorgeous. The heatdistribution is even. Emile Henry cooking stones are as near to perfect as thingsin this existence can be.Of course, we only use our stones to cook pizza, heat Texas Toast or Garlic Bread, andother such small tasks .... so their usage is rather light-duty. But they serve their purposewonderfully.

Love this stone. Easy to clean and the handles make it easy to lift out of the oven. Big upgrade from the standard pizza stone.

Ich war überrascht das ich seitens DHL aufgefordert wurde mein Paket in der Post-Stelle abzuholen mit einer Zollgebühr von 11,90€ .'Scheint neu zu sein seit Anfang Juli. Also bitte aufpassen - Zusatzgebühren - steht auch nirgendwo ! Artikel ist Top.

La hemos estrenado y la pizza ha salido fenomenal. La pegatina leimos que se quitaba mal, pusimos un paño encima y con el calor de la plancha se quito perfectamente.

We use this pizza stone in the oven when the weather is rotten, and on the grill when it is nice. Either way, our pizza comes out evenly cooked. We use it for home made pizza and Papa Murphy's. The key is to make sure the stone is fully heated prior to putting the pizza on. I recommend at least 10 min heating time at your desired temperature. I cook our pizza for a few minutes on the "prep tray", and then transfer it directly to the stone for the remainder of its time. Highly recommend this product!

A lot of folks mention the stone splitting as they put it from room temperature into a preheated oven. Please let your stone heat in the oven. It's kind of the same as if you put a stoneware dish from the refrigerator to a preheated oven to reheat leftovers - it isn't going to end well. Despite being oven safe it causes thermal shock. The label sticker did not come off intact. When I got all of the sticker off the stone there was glue residue left. I used equal parts baking soda and dishwashing liquid and worked it over the area with residue for 3-4 minutes without adding water. It rinsed clean after this and did not damage the finish of the stone. I was able to achieve a good crust using this in a 550 oven.

I’ve had this pizza stone for almost ten years. It’s very possible that they’re made differently now, so I can’t say anything about them cracking now, though mine never has. What I can say is yes, they are hard to clean. The black or sticky dark stuff you may see on it is probably grease. While it’s just dark and sticky it’ll come off with an SOS pad or the like. Once it’s black (which usually happens if you don’t scrub the sticky grease off before using it again) it’s a lot harder to remove. I have the red stone and after years of near daily use it has permanently changed to a deep maroon colour, generally with some black spots that I don’t have the patience to scrub off. I would purchase this stone again in a heartbeat, but I would get black because of the colour change and staining. Also it is rarely used for pizza, more often I use it for roasting vegetables.

I purchased this pizza stone in May 2020 and have been trying to get a replacement since November 2020. This stone either came cracked or it cracked after being gently used less than 4 times. The crack has gotten larger and I am afraid to use it now in case it cracks in half. The manufacturer has NOT been responsive to my emails with pictures provided or my attempts to text their customer service. Do not buy this pizza stone. Their customer service is non-existent. My pizza stone is still covered under their warranty. Do not buy!!
