Just what I needed and at a better price. Installation was so so since my old thermopile had split about a1/4”. But with some doing I got it out. Total time about 20 minutes.

I had a water heater, as well as an empire vertical wall mount heater, and a thermocouple worked for the water heater, so I figured I would try it out for the heater as well.Well, it works now, after installing this.Thanks!

After battling with heater pilot outages, this thermopile made my furnace work again like new.

The local propane company apologized as they were quoted a price of over $120.00 by their parts supplier; they suggested I look online. This thermopile installed very easily and is functioning as intended for my Empire Direct Vent Wall Furnace (DV-25-2SG).

I was able to make this thermopile fit my DV215 only by lightly filing the base brass. It was simply just barely too large to fit in the cavity where the prior one was removed. I haven't actually fired up the furnace yet but have little doubt it will work fine. This thermopile was also different in several ways from the one that was originally in the heater (the old one was slightly longer (about 1mm), and the wires were wrapped differently with heat-shield). I would assume that was merely a design change but when you buy a presumably OEM to replace an OEM you typically expect them to be identical.
