I bought this to upgrade the selector on my 500. It's made well enough, but it is thinner than the original. Not a huge negative, but something to be aware of. Installation was easy enough. Just be aware of the ball bearing on top of the spring if you want to use the original ball bearing. It is a different size from the one they send with it.

It’s a lot better than the stock safety where your thumb can roll right over it. Now you have that stop in the middle of it to help your thumb or finger manipulate the safety back and fourth. You can orient it either way you want too. There’s videos on YouTube to help you install it so be sure you seek those out. Overall, it’s a great addition to your mossy berg!

Works great, comes with a spare ball bearing, I left the original one in since it seems to be a little bigger (harder to slide the safe button. Make sure to open the shotgun action and keep the safety on before removing the stock screw if not you'll add 15 minutes to your install. Lots of youtube video available to watch.

go slow dont rush it like others I had to drop mytrigger assembly because i dropped the bb inside, wasnt a big deal with a little help from YT.. grest product fitsperfect and gives a more solid feel to saftety switch

I like this safety switch is much smoothly to work. I did not care for how tall the tab is on it but I used a file and filed it down about half way and liked it much better.

The thumb wall is so much more useable without having to put downward pressure to keep friction on the stock safety switch. It's reversable too so you can adjust for the comfortable length of your thumb. Cheapest and best upgrade for just about anything I've ever done. Do yourself a favor and grab one.

This option does not come with a spare detention spring and ball. So when you remove the factory safety selector prior to installing the new one, be careful to retain the ball. It's much smaller than a BB and thank God I have wood floors not shag carpet, or I would have never found that little sucker. All hood though. Love the look and works great. Big improvement over factory safety selector. Recommend.
