The same instrument as our traditional solid body Mahogany Ukulele, but in a stunning, blue hi-gloss wood finish. For discerning players, the choice of tonewood is important. Mahogany is a reddish-brown tropical hardwood known for being durable yet lightweight. Its well-balanced and moderate tone has made Mahogany among the most widely used tonewoods for Ukuleles.

The M6 features a solid Mahogany top, back, and sides and upgraded tuners that aid in Intonation and to help it stay in tune. The high gloss finish is wear and corrosion-resistant, with the added benefit of contributing to its clear, crisp tone. Great for a range of players from beginner, intermediate, or professional.

This is my third Enya. What a beautiful instrument! I love the cutaway design and the fretboard decoration. The action is very low, making it comfortable to play. It doesn’t have a very loud or bright sound, but it does have a pretty tone. I’m looking forward to enjoying this ukulele for a long time. Good value for the money.

Stunningly beautiful ukulele. Has wonderful tone and holds tune. Included case is also high quality and offers great protection. “Backpack” option for case is a plus. Have received numerous compliments.

I started playing ukulele six years ago with a Lohanu concert ukulele, a fine starter instrument, but I wanted something nicer. This Enya model is just what I was looking for. I based my selection on the glowing reviews that other people had given it, but I still had doubts about anything from China being synonymous with quality. I received it over a week ago and am satisfied with the instrument and its quality. The wood, inlay, and glossy finish are gorgeous, but the satin finish on the back of the neck, facilitating more effortless hand movement, is brilliant. The inline tuning pegs make for easier tuning. Gone is the buzz I would get from making certain chords on my previous uke, as the craftsmanship is excellent. I am delighted with the heavy-duty soft bag that comes with it. When I ordered, I scored a 30% off coupon, so the entire purchase was well under $200. I could not be more pleased.

What a great little ukulele. If you are looking for a concert size ukulele, I would highly recommend this one. Solid wood, good tuners, quality design and construction, all for less than $200. The gig bag is well padded and also of good quality. Due to the small body size it's not particularly loud, but it does have a sweet sound with the solid mahogany wood. I have a number of ukuleles and this one will rank as one of my favorites.

Review for Enya EUT-M6 Tenor Ukulele. Caveat: I am a beginner at the ukulele (and string instruments in general), but this is my second tenor ukulele. My first was a “Fender Nohea” (forerunner to the “Montecito”). While I liked the Fender, its neck (31mm) was too narrow for my hands. It seems Fender is using a “standard” width neck on their tenor ukuleles. I started looking for a wider neck and found the Enya — the neck at the nut is 7mm wider — a much better fit for someone with larger hands. So that’s what motivated the purchase. Now that I have it in my hands, what do I think of it?First, the neck. Yep, it’s wider and that width makes it easier for finger style picking and a lot easier for chords. Some chords were impossible for me to play on the Fender (e.g., D) because I couldn’t get 3 fingers into the small space. Now I can! The back of the neck is thicker and more rounded than the Fender, also making it easier for larger hands to hold. The neck is also bolted on instead of glued (and even comes with an Allen wrench). The fretboard is a “radial” design which I’m told makes barre across the strings easier, but I’m novice enough I haven’t yet noticed that difference.Second, the tone is wonderful. I wanted “deep and rich” with good resonance, and that’s what I got. The solid mahogany gives a very rich mellow tone, more so than the Fender which was a tiny bit “brighter” with less resonance using the same strings. (The Fender has a laminated Koa body and top. Could that be what causes the loss of resonance and produces a bit of “buzz” in the Fender?) Both are strung with Aquila “Red” Low-G strings which give the tone more depth. The strings that came with the Enya were some very nice, bright D’Addario of some sort which I replaced with the Aquila Red to get that mellower tone (as well as Low-G).Third, the finish work is impeccable. The instrument is a work of art, simple but very elegant. Every seam, joint, inlay is perfectly done. Not a rough edge, sloppy seam, or bit of glue to be seen anywhere in the construction. The body is a high-gloss finish, but the neck is satin which lets my hand move more easily up and down the neck. (For comparison, the Fender has a high-gloss neck finish and my hand “drags” on it.) The composite material for the fretboard feels like ebony and has a very nice inlay. While there are no inlay markers for the 5th, 7th, 10th (etc) frets on the fretboard, there are inlay markers on the top edge of the fretboard. The frets themselves are “smooth” at the ends so there are no sharp edges when you run your hand up/down the edge of the fretboard. (On the Fender I can feel the ends of a few of the frets.)Finally, miscellaneous comments. It comes with a very substantial well-padded gig bag with shoulder straps. There are button-bolts on the bottom and at the heel for a strap. Enya’s online support is very responsive, but be sure you make note of your Amazon “Order Number” and visit the Enya Music website to register your instrument as they require the order number to get support. (No nothing broke, I had a simple question which I submitted through their online support portal and I got a speedy response.)Are there any “cons”? Nope. The only thing to be aware of is that the bridge is a “through-body” design which makes it a bit trickier to restring if you’ve never done it before. That said, there are plenty of YouTube videos showing how, and it’s simple once you realize you just need to thread the string through the hole a certain way to use the natural “curl” of the string to your advantage.

I LOVE this ukulele! I started with a concert sized Lohanu uke, which is fine for a beginner instrument, but after a few months of playing it, I thought I might find a tenor size more comfortable on the fretboard, and I was right. I also was ready for a solid wood tone vs. laminate. Something a bit more rich, with a nice sustain. I watched dozens of reviews on YouTube and GotAUkuleke.com, and finally decided on this model from Enya. It is absolutely everything I hoped it would be. It is a stunning instrument, visually, and sounds so sweet. The action is nice and low, and that plus a slightly larger fretboard makes playing remarkably comfortable despite my "beginner" level clumsiness. I've heard that some don't like the Enya brand strings, but I prefer them to the Aquila Nylguts that came on my Lohanu, but to each her own. Strings are an easy fix if you really don't care for them. The padded gig bag is very well made and quite sturdy, and I was thankful for pre-installed strap buttons. I have zero complaints with this instrument after several months. Now I'm eyeing the new Enya Tenor Nova U transacoustic to use at school (where I will need a durable "beater" uke) because I am so incredibly pleased with Enya's quality.

Solid mahogany TenorI brought this as a result of the review by Baz, and I am not disappointed.I request a low G and it arrived within a week. My first reaction however was I had mad a mistake. The wound low g was awful and impossible to tune to the correct octave and the remaining strings were heavy and dull and did not do the instrument justice. I have their laminate Koa which came with fluorocarbon strings and sounded great, excellent value for money.I immediately restrung the instrument with D’Addario fluorocarbon. These did take some time to settle in but the difference was amazing. I now get an 11 second sustain and the instrument has a beautiful rich tone.Initially the low g unwound carbon string did sound a bit lifeless but now fully stretched is wonderful. The instrument sounds good picked or strummed.I imagine that if this was made in America you would be paying about £600 so it represents very good value for money. It arrived with a very good quality bag. Ok, the look of the ukulele is not to everyone’s taste but it is an excellent build quality and I can throughly recommend. If you do buy one though, remove the strings and replace with fluorocarbon.I used D’Addario Low G tenor fluorocarbon EJ99TLG. You won’t be disappointed.

I was very hesitant to buy a ukulele without playing it first, so I waited several months and visited all of the local music stores hoping to find the right one. What a great decision this Enya was! It’s is so beautiful and easy to play (I have a few other ukuleles to compare), and the sound is so bright I don’t want to put it down. Sounds amazing plugged into my amp. Love the feel of the neck, and it didn’t take to stay in tune. Love it! FYI, the black and red on the neck isn’t as dark as in the photos... but it looks great. You will want a tuner as the pick up doesn’t have one built in. Delivery was much faster than stated.

First I bought one Enya X1C HPL KOA cutaway and I thought beyond that it is beautiful has a lot of melodic sound. Then I bought this and I say that it is wonderful! I do not know if I want to look it or play it more!I will not tell you about the wonderful double-lined case or delivered to me within just 8 days or the perfect communication with the vendor... That's for sure.I will concentrate on the musical instrument:It has incredible color, all these magical details, the colors that reflect in light, but it is so full of sound, it's a musical caress! It's really a work of art ... I'm so excited!I wonder what sound will produce a solid ΚΟΑ wood or a mango wood from this company and I will definitely try to buy one in the future. It will surely be amazing! If you are thinking of buying it, know it's the best purchase you've ever made! It's just great! Well done Enya, you have filled my life with melody! Thank you!
