This gnocchi board makes shaping gnocchi — from creating the beautiful grooves to the sauce-catching divot in the back — so effortless that I could do it with one hand while I used my used my phone with the other. It took me half the time I used to take trying to do it with a fork.I made sure to flour the board before use to prevent bits from sticking, and then just brushed away any residue afterwards. Cleanup was easy.I have yet to use the garganelli dowel, but I love that it conveniently slots into the board.Highly recommend.

We are enjoying using this gnocchi stripper, as it makes a difference in the quality of our gnocchi and it's so simple to use. We appreciate it's honest and natural design, it's ease of use, and we feel it is a well made product from Eppicotispai. Highly recommended.

Great value at $7.33 bought last December 2019. The board comes mounted on a hardwood base that allows me to hang it on the wall. The mounting base has a storage spot to keep the little rolling pin together with the main unit too. I like it mounted on the wall so it does not get damaged jumbled in a drawer with other kitchen gadgets. It's clearly made of naturally light colored hardwood (beechwood) with no varnish or shellac. Its finish is very fine and smooth. It came with with a small instruction card for use. I found it quite easy to gently draw the fresh gnocchi down the groves with my thumb to perfectly form the characteristic stripes. I have not yet used it for garganelli yet, but I'll try it soon. Clean-up was easy with a quick wipe with a damp dish cloth.

Really easy to use and well made. The pasta came out so great! I rolled out the pasta sheets, cut them into squares, and was able to make them all fairly quickly using this board and included rolling pin. It was fun and the end product was awesome!

As soon as I got this I gave it a heavy coating of cutting board oil, let it soak in for 24 hours, wiped it down then waxed it with a food safe wood wax. I do this for every wooden kitchen item I get, and I feel it makes them easier to clean and less likely to suffer cracking, splitting, or discoloration. The board and dowel work a treat, and the hanging hole and simple stop on the dowel storage slot means I can just wipe it down with a damp rag then hang it on it's little wall hook where it is both neatly out of the way and decorative. There's no fuss or frills, just a simple tool with basic, common sense construction that does its job exactly as it should.

We had reservations about using this little board. But we were very pleasantly surprised with how well and beatifully it works. The price is unbelievable for what it does. When you're rolling pasta's like Cavatell(shells) your faced with a choice. What to use to keep the pasta from sticking to the grooves in the board as the pasta works better than TiteBond glue when it comes to sticking to a board. My first thought was the old standby flour. Looking at the grooves its obvious that flour will build up and have to be removed regularly else the design will become poor as the flour builds up. My second thought was to use a food safe oil like food grade mineral oil or any of the food safe oils used on cutting boards. The oil works fantastic. We love thin tasty pasta. The oil permits you to really roll you dough out thin. You gently lift and roll the dough and it forms a perfect thin tasy Cavatelli.(see the pictures) I highly recommend this little wonder tool even over mama's old cheese grater. The pictures wil show you how to use this board from beginning to end.I prefer using my little pastry/pasta rolling pin that we custom made for tight places.

This is a GREAT board. Perfect size and I love the way the little rolling pin fits right inside the board for storage! Haven't seen that detail before. I had NO problem with my pasta dough recipe sticking to this board at all. Clean up was a snap. Just used a pastry brush and dusted it off! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! Traditional garganelli has both nutmeg and fresh grated parmesan cheese in the dough.

I'd wanted one of these for a while after seeing an Italian chef using one, they are very easy to master and can be used to make a huge variety of pasta shapes. This is top quality, very well made and a breeze to use.

I’m not sure if you were supposed to oil the board before using it, but my pasta kept leaving this residue on the board. The residue makes it hard to roll into a perfect shape after a while, so you have to go in and clean it so it doesn’t stick. Otherwise this is pretty easy to use. I’ve only used it maybe 3 times because I usually just make ravioli or fettucine but it makes pretty okay pasta. I still need to practice how much to roll at once because the first time I used this I had medium ones and slightly larger ones and the slightly larger ones took a little longer to cook. Practice makes perfect I guess. Decent board.
