Your cart is empty.Chick Boost contains Probiotics, Vitamins and Electrolytes to aid in the health of hatchlings. Chick Boost should be mixied with fresh clean water, provided everyday for the first 8 weeks, at which time they can be switched to Egg Boost. Chick Boost introduces beneficial bacteria to the crop which assist the chick in developing a positive bacteria culture in its digestive tract. Commercially hatched chicks are raised in a clean enviroment and are not exposed to natural flora found in the hens digestive tract. Because of HCl gastric secreation which starts at day 18 of incubation, a newborn chick is at high risk for disease. More than any other animal chicks should be provided beneficial bacteria right after birth. Beneficial Bacteria in the digestive tract help to crowd out the bad bacteria. This is known as selective exclusion and will help the animal fight off bad bacteria.(E. Coli, etc). A healthy gut leads to a healthy immune system to help combat disease and stress. Chick Boost mixes easily into water and is recommended that as soon chicks are born that the water is made available to them. 1 –10gm scoop is included, mix 1 scoop per gallon.

I got to try and help with the chicken having runny poop but it made it worse. I stopped it and it stopped.

There is a noticeable difference in energy and health of our chicks when they have this added to their water. It seems that we have significantly less loss of our brood when we use this consistently

I gave this to my chicks to help keep them healthy, in addition to a commercial chick starter feed. One of my 4 chicks got wry neck, and it turned out to be a vitamin B1 deficiency. If I had given another supplement to my chicks that would not have happened to her as many others have thiamine in the guaranteed analysis. Live and learn, will never use this again for chicks.
