The good thing about sandals made with orthotic arch support is that they help improve your gait, and also align your feet in the right position to ensure that the ankle is always in its correct position. When you wear sandals that are not made with orthotic arch support, the feet are too parallel to the ground and this stresses the ankle, knees and back. It is not advisable to use those kinds of flat sandals for long periods of time. Feel the difference and comfort of the Orthotic Sandals we carry.

My wife said these fit great and she loves the adjustable strap on the top. They don’t cause her heel to hurt either which is important since she has plantar fasciitis.

The straps have a slight sparkle sheen to them, which the photo doesn’t show. It’s not so over the top that I won’t wear them, but they aren’t my first choice of shoe. They fit me true to size but I have neither narrow nor wide feet. The straps are only slightly adjustable. In my opinion (and I don’t know your situation), if you have wide feet I would not size down. An average or narrow foot could size down a half. Don’t rely on the strap adjustments to tighten up the fit a bunch. The straps are wide, which makes a stable fit. They stay on my feet! The arch is hard so if you need arch support then these will do the trick. It’s a little too hard for me to wear on days I know I’ll be walking a lot. Definitely fine for in-office work days. I have hallux rigidus so platform sandals are my jam and these don’t aggravate my condition, so I like that very much.

I find myself choosing these a lot, especially if I have socks on and just need something quick to slip on, and don’t want to take my socks off to put on flip-flops. I know that sounds lazy, but I am!I also love the arch because I have a high arch in my foot and flat shoes hurt my feet. These feel great and can be worn with or without shoes because they have Velcro on the top to adjust the thickness of your foot.

These were the only shoes I had on a trip to Colorado that I’m currently on my way back from, and let’s just say I know these shoes inside and out now. The look of them is a little plain, but they go with anything. They have a shininess that may have started wearing off a little after the week I’ve had, but I honestly didn’t like the plasticky/tape-y look of it to begin with. They’re slightly adjustable on one strap, but the velcro strap is permanently attached to the stationary one with some stretchy elastic, so it can only be adjusted so much. The arch is very high, and I have to push my feet in pretty deep to make it align with my natural arch. The heel cup is nice and deep. The overall fit is pretty true to size. I wore them around town a few times before deciding to wear them on the way to my vacation. Unfortunately, my sneakers got lost along the way, so these became my only shoes. They were pretty comfortable for awhile, but I had some issues by the end of the week. As I ran around Colorado I compiled a list in my head of rather obvious activities you shouldn’t do while wearing these, but I had no choice at the time. These aren’t good for hiking, caving, walking to the pool, or going to amusement parks. I almost lost them on a rollercoaster, and they’re not the most steady for uneven terrain or water. Too much intense activity did cause me to need some bandages where the stationary strap hit the top of my foot closest to my ankle. They may need extra time to be broken in, but I can’t tell how much is needed. I did wear water shoes for a day when we went white water rafting, and I actually felt some discomfort in my heel when I put on the completely flat shoes. This leads me to believe that the ERGOfoot sandals actually were helping. Despite a little dirty spot by my toes, they still look to be in pretty good shape after the week. I think they’re good for around town, but you might want to keep bandages around if you plan on wearing them for a lot of strenuous activity.

I thought they would be more comfortable than they are. They fit well and have a nice squishy bottom. But, where the back straps hit near my heel and on the inside of the shoe there is a bump that is very uncomfortable. It's a shame. They are very good looking sandals.

I ordered the Ergofoot Adjustable Orthopedic Sandals for Women for myself, as I am always looking for shoes that I can wear to work that are comfortable, yet professional looking. I wear a size 9 and I found the shoes to be true to size. The 1.9 inch sole is made of EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) foam, which absorbs impact and gives a little when you walk, allowing you some elevation, without risking a sprained ankle. Additionally, the bottom is made of rubber, for better traction. The foot bed cradles your foot, with a rounded area for the heel and a high arch support. Moreover, I have a very sensitive feet, yet I do not feel the small nodules on the foot bed, nor do they cause me discomfort. That said, I have high arches and the arch support is almost too high for me. Perhaps this passes with time and use, but if you are a flat footed or have a low arch, this is not going to be a comfortable shoe for you.The straps on top are a soft fabric, which is adjustable and there is a slight shine to them, so they could easily transition from a night to day look. As my feet swell sometimes, these soft straps are great for me, because I can not only adjust them on the go, they are soft against the top of my feet, even if they swell. But you would not know they are fabric without touching them, so they don't look "old lady-ish" or orthopedic. The molded foot bed is advertised to help realign the lower body, in order to help you achieve better posture. I am not sure if this is true, but I do seem to stand straighter when I wear them. Also, my love how my feet kind of "bounce" in the giving foot bed and how comfortable they are on my feet. The arch support is high and on certain days I can find this aggravating, (I am not sure why), but most of the time they are very comfortable. Finally, I really love the soft fabric straps, that look like suede and have a light sheen to them, making them great for day or evening looks.Overall, I really like the Ergofoot Adjustable Orthopedic Sandals for Women and I give them four stars.
