Not a perfect match to a 632-363, but close enough. Had to remove plug and route wires through the mount then reinstall plug (1 minute job with correct tools). Local HVAC repair companies would not sell me one without a service call, why pay $150.00 for a $20.00 part? So Amazon to the rescue.

Good value for my money. We’ve been looking around for igniter when ours broke but we cannot find it anywhere. Thank you for this. You just saved us a lot of money for a service person to come in personally and charge us a very large amount.

I gave a "middle" rating because I guess this is partly my fault. The are other reviews regarding the connection not fitting on York furnaces are correct. So, yes, I could cut the old connector off and put on new, as others describe. Also, they do include the twist connectors. However, I did send back because the element is a tad shorter than original. Does that make a difference? Does it shorten its life span? I don't know, but didn't want to take the chance because I have a furnace in the attic and didn't want to have to deal with it, if it was a problem. Maybe an expert can weigh in and give a professional opinion. I hated to pay twice as much for a more "name brand" but I did.

I love the internet and amazon. It took a problem that would have cost $300 and a visit from a scheduled furnace tech and it turned it into $22 problem and a two day wait for prime delivery. Igniters are pretty easy to see when they are not working. If you don't see the bright glow from the front grill when it tries to light, it's not working. I pulled our old one when I looked at it, it looked like a burnt light bulb. You could clearly see where the element was broken.Ordered, installed, furnace works like a champ again. install took a screw driver and about 20 min of my time.

It was easy for me to diagnose the issue on my furnace (could see that the igniter wan't glowing) - and I just pulled the part number and looked it up here to find this one. Easily saved myself a $250+ bill that a HVAC tech would have charged. Agree with the comment on another review that you should wear rubber gloves while installing so as not to create a hot point from oils on the skin. Works like a charm now that it's installed. Easy fix.

This device worked fine as a replacement for the igniter in my Amana heater. I did have to remove the connector and splice onto a different connector, but that's not a problem. The igniter itself is exactly like the one it replaced, and worked without having to adjust ignition timing. I checked locally but could not find the product for less than twice what it costs on Amazon.

I replaced my ignitor with this one and it lasted only a few weeks! I was not even looking at the ignitor when the furnace failed again so soon , but sure enough the ohms resistance changed from the readings when new and the board would not fire it up so I had to purchase another locally. The last 408 I had lasted 6 years! I just ordered another from Amazon and bought the cheapest one because I felt there was no sense paying for a name when the longevity is nil.

Our home heater wasn't working because the current furnace igniter needed to replaced. This is exactly what we needed and now our heater works great! My husband said this was the best price as well. Thanks to some internet searching and seeing that the current part looked like a burnt out light bulb, we were able to save $$$ and not have to call a a/c & heater guy!
