When you try on the ESS Crossbow, you'll discover it's unlike any other ballistic eyeshield.  Experience the Tri-Tech Fit frame that achieves an amazing universal fit with max comfort and zero pressure points.  Then notice the lenses.  They won't fog.  That's thanks to groundbreaking ClearZone FlowCoat technology, engineered to eliminate fog inside and prevent scratches outside. As you stare down your objective through distortion-free ESSOPTICS, you'll see just how optically precise vision can be. When you're ready to switch tints, the innovative DedBolt Lens Lock pivots up for easy release, then clamps down for rock solid retention under impact. As evidenced by the pictures, BOTH pairs of lenses were clearly used and used more than once. Someone made an effort to wipe the lenses down and left streaks all over them. The clear lens has significant scratches and pitting and the smoke lens has a large scratch (the picture doesn’t do it justice). The zipper pull tab wasn’t even on the zipper. I would’ve probably accepted them had it been obvious that someone opened these and returned them but these are HEAVILY used and abused.

I bought these because my job in the oilfield requires that I wear eye protection 12-18 hours a day. For 7 years I have been wearing whatever my company bought for me, which was the cheapest disposable Z87 glasses they could find. Well one day it dawned on me that if I have to wear something for 18 hours a day then I may as well get the best I could afford, after all these are MY eyes we’re talking about. I can’t speak for everyone but I am in love with these glasses. They don’t fog up, they fit really good, and the bottom of the lenses don’t touch my cheek (something that every pair of glasses I had before did.) There’s a video on YouTube of these very glasses stopping .22 bullets and 12ga shotgun rounds so that should say enough for the protection they offer. All around these are great glasses and I find myself wearing them at home instead of my $200 costa fishing glasses. The price is is low enough that I feel like if they get destroyed at work I won’t shed too many tears, I’ll just buy another pair. I can’t say enough good about these things. The only bad thing I can think of is the fashion aspect of these. Although I bet nobody is buying these for looks, they make me look like a state trooper that would write his own mother a ticket. Take that however you want.Great glasses, and probably my new go to glasses.

Love these.I really wanted the best level of protection without having to go nuts with thick lenses or extra large goggles. These are 4.5/5 comfortable and sit well below hearing protection despite not being the model designed just for that. I wear behind the ear electronic hearing protection and they coexist well in the same space. They don't slide or drift off my face with bending but also don't squeeze you too tightly. I hardly noticed they were there after a few minutes.Clarity is good and the black aren't too dark. No obstruction for my POV.I definitely feel safer using these.

I bought these for two specific reasons;DrivingShootingBoth reasons are completely satisfied. My current work situation requires me to be on the road for an undetermined amount of time. I also use these to DJ with as to combat some of the extra pretty lights that come with Djing. Anyway, that part does not matter. The unit comes with two frames, two lenses, one protective case, two individual... black stringed sacks? The frames are both the "Crossbow Repl Frame"The lenses are 1ea "Smoke Grey" and 1ea "Clear"One frame that is MOLLE Compatible (I have attached it to my Bag's Arm thing); This last fact was a pleasant surprise to me.A lot of people complain about the fact it only comes with one protective case, personally, I prefer it. I wear these daily on all my adventures so usually I have my, Smoke Grey on, and a "High Def Copper Lense" on my second regular frame within the case. (I also bought the Suppressor One Kit and switched my clear lense out for the Suppressor frames which is better for headgear.) Depending on the environment, I simply change out between the two. Having the case for me is better than throwing the second pair in my bag somewhere. This is the system that I use and prefer.Reason why I included the above information is that it seems that a lot of reviews do not seem to include what the lenses are, their not "Black" you wont find "Black" Lense type for this series. Also, if you look at the "Smoke Grey" lenses on their website, it looks, well. Not black. So if you have to look for a replacement lense (Estimated 4 years after initial purchase) you need "Smoke Grey". Another important note is that they are NOT Polarized, despite what some may claim. They have a Polarized lense you can by, this isn't it.Both lenses are pre attached to their respective individual frame, as well as an attached nose piece for both. These glasses took me about 2 months to get used to. For me, it felt extremely uncomfortable on my nose, but unlike most glass frames, it didn't pinch behind my ears and practically make them unbearable. I have a big freakin head and my nose is all messed up, this is a problem for me individually with any glass sets. Anyway, I usually wear them day in and day out up to 8-18 hours per day. As i said, uncomfortable at first, but once adjusted, Good to Go.Like new boots, they have a break-in time.Photo below shows the glasses attached to my "arm piece" on my bag. You can see the ESS logo there on the bottom.

These are listed for $117. . They are identical to these ones https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01DXD54EM/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1That are listed for $19.95 and only took 2 days longer to arrive, had a yellow night vision len as well and an additional nose piece so you could get your prescription lens added and still wear them. For nearly $100 less and more accessories,, go for the less expensive ones. I know because I bought both with the intension of sending back the more expensive pair.

These are great! I hear they might even stop a .22cal, I have not verified, but have seen a bit about it on Youtube- not sure how credible it is, but I'll go with it. I find them to be very comfortable and lightweight. You get two (2) pairs in the "2x kit"! Mine came with a clear lens, and a dark tinted lens, I think they sell them with yellow lenses as well. Mine came with a hard case, which I love, and a microfiber bag. Unfortunately both pairs do not fit into the case at the same time (or at least I couldn't get them to). The lenses are pretty easy to replace, if you choose to, I just removed mine to see how it worked. It seems like it has adequate padding, but I haven't been in a situation, with these on, that I needed serious eye protection. So take my opinions the way you should take all internet opinions...with a grain of salt.

This is a great purchase. You get two complete sets of glasses here; one on a frame with smoke colored lenses, and the other on a frame with a clear set. One comes in a protective travel bag, and the other comes in a tough, zip up case. The glasses are comfortable; I've had no discomfort due to the stems, and the nose bridge piece is soft and rubber. They're light weight, and the field of vision is great while wearing them.I've used several different brands of ballistic eyewear. So far, they are better than most, and on par with the Oakley set I was issued.
