I was really looking forward to using this in my basement. I hung it over a 2x6 and connected my Everlast heavy bag to it. I tested it for a few techniques and several kicks and knees. I turned it over to my son and he shows me the stitching on the strap just snapped in his first kick. That's unfortunate. I cannot recommend this for any martial artists or MMA types. It's just not built for that kind of stress.

Installed this strap as per the instructions with a 80lb heavy bag. Without use the straps snapped within 48hrs. I would not recommend this product unless you are using a very light bag.

Based on previous reviews, I wasn't expecting much, but surprisingly, it was even worse than I expected. I figured the yellow nylon strap would eventually break, so I bought this to use the padding with a more reliable beam strap. I had my 50 lb. bag hanging for all of 1 minute, took a few practice hits at 50% power to see how the bag moved and the stitching holding the D-ring broke after 5-6 swings. What a worthless POS! Luckily I had my other velcro strap I purchased at the same time as this and it is holding up quite well. Unless you plan to do the same as I did, do not waste your money on this - it will not hold your bag and is a safety hazard!

The half ring has a tendency to roll to one side (making a "D" shape) while using the bag. That puts all the pressure on one side of strap which makes it fray easily and becomes a falling hazard. I've been using it for about a year now and no issues but I will be raising the D ring soon. Overall a good bag holder thlough, I would buy it again.

Probably one of the best customer service I've had with online shopping in awhile. I had initially returned it due to the fact that I had already built a heavy bag mount and this product was not scheduled to be shipped for another few days. When I had returned the order I thought I would have to go through the hassle of shipping it back, but instead the people from Urban Inspirations were kind enough to let me keep the product, return whatever I paid for it minus the shipping fee. Which was amazing because shipping it back would've been a real hassle for me. Besides that the product works really well, it's inner part of it is made with a rubbered layer so it doesn't slip or move on the pole. Also this item requires no tools, which I'm pretty positive would benefit some people. It's pretty well built all around, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quick mount.

If your goal is to temperarily test a mounting site before using a permanent mount, this will do the trick. However, if you're looking for a more permanent solution this may not be for you. The picure shows pretty sturdy materials: webbing, metal rings, etc. Unfortunately what you can't see is a plastic buckle on the back side that allows for adjustment of the length of the yellow strap, thus allowing adjustment of the heavy bag height. This buckle appears to be made of plastic. After about a month of use, this buckle on my mount snapped the center piece of the buckle. Luckily for me I had a permanent mount on hand and just made my installation permanent. I suppose is you were to go to your local hardware/camping/surplus store you could find a sturdy replacement buckle.
