I got my wife into cycling last year and needs something to secure the bikes without blocking my rear camera, this was perfect for my 2019 Ranger. It was suggested from another friend of mine who rides. So glad I purchased it.

I was initially worried because it is thin, but now I'm using it I see that it works well and the thickness is not a problem at all.

I'm a new truck owner and was looking for options for transporting 1 bike. It has a thru-axle so I didn't want a fork mount. It also has a turn lock that prevents the handlebars from turning too far, so the wheel won't go perpendicular to the bike/tailgate and the tire ends up rubbing on the tailgate. This pad solved that problem. Because it's wide enough for 2, the tire rests on the pad, rather than the tailgate. With the velcro strap tightened, I have never seen the bike move at all on turns or dirt roads to the trailhead. With the bike close to the side of the bed I can run a U-lock through a tie-down loop and the frame to secure it if I need to.

I wasn't interested in a full tailgate saddle for a bunch of bikes (I'm a single guy with one, maybe two, bikes in tow max.) and this was one of the select few I found. I'm happy with it overall. Install and removal is simple and quick. The pad covers right where it needs to so my truck doesn't get damaged. It holds up to the elements well and I haven't noticed any fading or defects after almost a whole bike season in the sun, wind, sand, and rain. Overall highly recommended!

First of all, this is a decent tailgate pad for one or two bikes, exactly what I was looking for. However, my main gripe with this pad is related to the material they chose for the back of the pad. Since the back of the pad makes direct contact with the paint of the vehicle it's installed on, it would make sense for the back of the pad to be extremely soft and have no risk of scratching or marring the paint. Unfortunately, Evoc chose a material that is not super soft.At one point I had the pad on my truck for several weeks. When I took it off for a car wash, I noticed a faint dirt pattern on the tailgate paint. I tried to quickly wipe with my hand but it didn't come off. After I took my truck through the wash there was still faint marking where the pad had been in contact with the paint. It ultimately took a couple more weeks of having the pad off my truck before the markings faded. Why Evoc? Why don't you use super silky soft and smooth material like Yakima?I wouldn't have any real complaints for this item if the backing material was softer and more paint friendly. Seems silly that Evoc chose the material they did. It's not super abrasive, but it's not super soft either. Seems like an oversight on their part. Other than that, this is a pretty nice, compact pad. Only other minor complaint is it could be stuffed with a little more padding to add extra protection. My final verdict, this item is okay but needs improvement. Softer backing and thicker padding would get this thing 5 stars. Come on Evoc!

My RAM 1500 has a split tailgate and this fits perfectly over the smaller half. I have a tremendous amount of storage space after the bike is secured. Installation was a breeze and it holds the bike securely. Great product.

Fits my mtb nicely, it's a little snug for 2 mtbs and the wheel is big enough to rub off on the tailgate but the padding is good and the straps hold the bike fairly in place.I hit a few bumps on the road and the bike didn't move all that much considering the pothole festival we have in my town...I recommend this item.

Purchased a pair of these for price, convenience, and functionality. The product served every purpose. I use it to haul 2 26” Beach Cruisers with my 2016 Tacoma and am able to still have full use of my back up camera. YouTube reviews showed minor rubbing from the second bike on the tailgate which is another reason why I bought two, even though technically I could have gotten away with using only one. Storage is minimal as the pads store as a trifold when not in use. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Doesn’t come with any straps to hold down the front forks. Bike moves a lot during transportation especially with 2 bikes loaded.

It's a good tailgate pad if you'll only ever carry two bikes, or, if you're like me and have a Ram truck with RamBox and the tailgate is too narrow for ANY OTHER pad to fit the width. I gave it 4 stars only because of the price. For half a tailgate pad, it should be half the price of a full size pad, or at least about 40% cheaper, it's half the materials!!! So yeah, the fact that this is almost the same price as a full size tailgate pad is pretty dumb, but otherwise this is a great pad. It secures well to the tailgate, the blocks on top hold bike frames well, the downtube strap works great, I don't have to secure the bikes with any other straps or bungee cords, so it's quick and easy to load/unload. It also folds up really nice for storage in the cab when you're not using it. If this were like, $60, I'd give it 5 stars.
