I work in a dealership and removing plastic and metal Toyota filter housings with this thing is a necessity (if you know you know). Other designs and even brands simply don't cut it for really seized filter housings and will just slip. This holds such a firm grip I once even broke a filter housing in half with it, fun times. It also fits most regular Toyota spin on filters, Honda filters too.

I do all of my own maintenance on my motorcycles and have used the cheap stamped metal filter wrenches for years. Those do the basic job but can be prone to slipping on tighter filters. This filter wrench is really high quality tool in comparison. Great heavy build quality and excellent grip, definitely worth the additional cost over the cheap alternatives.

Just like the title says, this is a good quality product and doesn’t damage the plastic filter housing like some other products do. Works great for my Tundra and RAV4.

Got this with overnight delivery, so I could change oil over the weekend. This also fits the filter on theYaris Is and the Mazda CX-5 turbo and CX-5 non turbo. The product appears to be well made. Have a filter that was installed tighter than hand tight and difficult to remove? Recommend using a socket in lieu of a ratchet or ratchet extension. To assist in loosening start and run the engine until oil is warm. To prevent the filter from sticking in the wrench try applying a little grease or oil to the flutes. I am not receiving any compensation for this review.

I do not normally write reviews. But this oil wrench is outstanding in every aspect. Sturdy, exact fit….it took the stick oil filter housing off without damaging it. I had bought 2 oil filter wrenches and both had broken without being able to take the oil filter off… I had recently bought the van and however change the oil filter had over tightened it…(I had wasted over $30 wasted oil and $40 in prior oil wrenches, 3 weeks time, and redoing oil change after not being able to change filter initially). I was trying to buy the Toyota oil wrench but could find it. Bottom line this oil wrench is an exact fit and broke my stuck oil filter housing with zero problems (used cheater pipe for additional leverage and broke in seconds; I had broken to other oil wrenches. I highly recommend this oil filter wrench. I think it will last for years of issue free oil changes; plus I think it fits other Toyotas (like my 4Runner)

I bought a cheap rubbish tool that fell apart immediately, failing to remove the filter housing. After having wasted money on that, I got this one instead and it works brilliantly. This is one of those situations where you're better off just buying the expensive one first, and this is well worth the price difference.

Fit perfect for my 2012 scion XD , won’t chip or break like the aluminum counterpart. It’s a must buy!

I recently purchased a 2018 Toyota Avalon. I referenced the manual before changing the oil and found a special tool was needed to remove the oil filter casing. I checked online for two local auto parts stores and a high percentage of the reviews stated the wrenches available were not durable. I reviewed Amazon offerings and found what appeared to be a forged tool that should last longer than I have the vehicle. I'm not disappointed. The wrench worked well with a 1/2" drive breaker bar (4-sided plug). I think a 22 mm combination wrench will also work, but I don't have one. Off the subject, one reason I change my own oil is to allow it to drain for hours instead of minutes. My reasoning is it allows more sludge to drain.

I was looking for an oil filter wrench so that I could work on my 2012 Toyota Tundra. After looking around and comparing tonnes of filter wrenches I settled on the EWK 64mm it seemed the most solidly built and I was not wrong, it is built like a tank and fits perfectly.

Got tired of wife paying $60 at the dealer for oil changes for our 2010 Corolla. I went to O'Reilly's and bought a $10 Pennzoil stamped steel filter tool, drained the oil, then struggled for about a half hour with the filter tool because it kept slipping off and finally gave up. Dealership mechanics must set their impact guns on 150ft lbs when they tighten the oil filter housing!! Went on line and found out that thousands of DIY folks have the same problem but you need a higher quality tool than the local parts store sells...so saw this EWK tool with Prime shipping and ordered it...2 days later I put it to the test...well made and a perfect fit, but it still wasn't easy, I had to use my 2' long breaker bar and about all the strength I could give while lying underneath but that did the trick! This is a high quality tool worthy of high volume shop usage, but for DIY'ers it's a definite life saver and absolutely worth it's price!
