Like most musicians, we develop preferences over time of the type of equipment we use. So musicians like a low profile pedal, some like flat and some like slanted. I happen to prefer slanted. My only problem with most pedal boards is the height of the board and the ability to mount a power supply underneath. This board is high enough that you can mount a supply on either board. But having said that, the height may be a drawback for some players who use multiple pedals and make changes often. As for me, this pedal is perfect since I normally make my standard settings and I’m good to go for the set. Also a pedal like this is perfect for a beginner. If you put the pedal together yourself, I feel you will have a better understanding of what you prefer and will look for in future boards. I found the board to be really nice quality, with a great stained finish. It was easy to assemble. Some of the drilled holes were a bit off, but not to the point that you couldn’t make it work as the attached pictures will show. This kit comes with everything you’ll need. Enclosed are the boards, screws, hook and loop tape, patch cords, cable ties, even a screw driver to help complete the job. As an extra bonus it even includes three pedal control covers. I like this board. It’s basic, practical and the perfect size for a starter setup, or as a board to test out new pedals. So yes, I am very pleased with this purchase. Thank you.

In the box: two top panels, two side panels, screws, a few pedal caps, velcro, a few patch cables, zip ties, and a cheap screwdriver. Assembly takes a few minutes if you speed the process along with a power screwdriver and then finish by hand (which I'd suggest). The side panels don't quite line up with the top panels, one of the pilot holes was drilled a bit too large (either that or the wood stripped as I was putting it together), the velcro needs trimming before you put it on, and the stain looks like it was very haphazardly applied.Given that you can get an aluminum pedalboard of the same size for about the same money, I'd suggest doing that instead, especially since the patch cables, caps, and other "extras" probably raise the price but really don't add anything of value. It's functional, but you could probably build your own for less money and have it turn out nicer than this.
