I purchased this for 4 inch exhaust pipe but it will not expand 4 inch to 41/4 like it saidIt will expand it a little but not enough

(Ignore bad reviews) I’m assuming the bad ratings came from DIYers that didn’t grease the tool. I’m very pleased. I greased every bit of the tool before use , and it worked great with my impact ! No it’s not a professional tool, but as a hobbyist who will use the tool once in a blue moon I couldn’t be more pleased.

I read all the Bad reviews saying " poor quality, Junk, Broke on first use.) Here is my take. Tool works great if you use some common sense, Pack the tapered roller bearing with "good grease" before use. Liberally coat all moving parts & the pipe with "good grease". I held the pipe in a bench vice for stability and held it against rotation with a pipe wrench. Use a "professional grade 1/2 Impact to tighten the draw bolt. ( I had to break out the old Ingersol Rand "bad ass" to be effective. You will have to rotate the tool multiple times to get a round flare. Remember GREASE IS YOUR FRIEND HERE.

Top of bearing shattered the first time it was used. This was with a small wrench, so not much torque was applied. Very inferior engineering.
