This is adequate for users that need to mount a PTZ camara away from the wall or attachment point using the standard camera/tripod mounting screw and attachment point. I'm pleased with the way it works

This adapter is better than I expected it to be. I actually like it. I have other adapters from my GoPro cam but it didn't sit right with the insta 360 x3. This is really sturdy and it positions the camera on whatever angle you want. 100% recommend.

I have a BenQ light bar on top of my monitor and I needed to mount my webcam at some location. I found this item could be attached to the light bar pad using some 3M double sided foam tape at the base. It worked perfectly and allows full camera adjustment. The webcam is very light so no issue with support.

I purchased this to mount a small security camera; so that I could easily adjust the direction and angle of the camera, worked perfectly.

Good, not great in the price range. The device is adequate for holding lighter cameras/cam-phones but not a 35mm DSLR. That's good, I just want to hold small cameras. What you need to look for in these in the threads per inch on the screw. The mount is stand 1/4" X 20 but the knob you tighten the position with should be a fine thread so it holds tighter.Bottom Line - I can recommend these for holding devices under 2 lbs. The look is nice compared to the last ones I purchased on Amazon

Verwende sie als Adapter für Gopros, um deren Neigungswinkel noch feiner adjustieren zu können. Sehr robust, gute Verarbeitung.

I purchased this to mount an independent light source (a RALENO Led Video Light) but also tested it with my Canon T7i camera. The Led video light is light and is no real test. The camera is heavier, yet this small ball head held it steady at any angle with no need to overtighten. The threads (male and female) mated perfectly with my tripods, camera and other adapters. In my opinion this is a precision-machined ball head that is heavy-duty and reliable. I have yet to find any flaws or other issues with it after a month of frequent use.

I purchased this to mount on my GorillaPod for use with my P&S camera, It seems more than robust enough to handle that job. So much so that I might use it on my DSLR with standard lens. Only 4 stars for one complaint: It's very difficult to grip the bottom ring on this ball head - to tighten it against the rubber pad at the top of the GorillaPod. The bottom ring is barely 1/4" high and is separate from the 'cup' that holds the steel ball and tension screw. I was tempted to use pliers to grab it, but didn't want to risk leaving teeth marks on the beautiful finish.

This is an exceptionally well built little ball head. the locking thumb screw is large and comfortable and all the parts are beautifully finished. I liked it so much I decided to buy 2 more as the price was great for the quality. BUT, when I received the next two they were totally different than the first. Small, weak and with the locking screw being tiny and folding down so as to make it difficult to use. In short, junk. I sent them back and received my refund but really wanted two more of the great ones. I waited a week and re-checked the listing and found the photo showing the original one and decided to try again. I ordered two more and mentioned in a note that I would only accept the one as pictured. Guess what I received. Two more exactly like the two that I had sent back. Rather than waste my time returning them, I threw them in the trash. Just be forewarned.

I bought this to use on a dual use trekking pole monopod, and to mount my Canon DSLR T5i with an 18-135mm lens and a battery grip. The total combined weight of my Canon T5i camera, 18-135mm lens, and battery grip is exactly 3 lbs. The Ball can firmly secure my camera setup without a sweat. I Do Not have to tighten the screw hard at all to firmly lock the camera in place. Only a small amount of force is necessary to firmly lock the camera where I want it, and the camera does not sag or start to droop whatsoever, in either landscape orientation or, turned 90 degrees, in portrait orientation. At first I was concerned because when I turned the camera 90 degrees to portrait orientation the camera began to droop forward because of the fairly heavy zoom lens, but that turned out to be user error, or in other words, my fault. It didn't sag at the ball joint whatsoever. The problem was I didn't have the camera screwed on tight enough to the ball head. You can't see it in the photo, but beneath the black round disc on the post is a metal stop. To see the metal stop you have to unscrew the metal disc on top of the post. The disc on top of the post screws upward toward your camera to lock the camera in place. But using the disc alone to secure the camera didn't work for me, (the camera began to sag). The solution was to first unscrew the disc down enough to show the metal stop and screw the camera down onto the metal stop, and then finish tightening the camera to the ball head by screwing the disc back up to the camera body.It is not as complicated as I am perhaps making it sound. unfortunately the picture on Amazon does not show the metal stop, so you can't see what I'm talking about. But, it will be obvious to you once you pick the thing up and look at it yourself. It is not complicated at all to use. I bought several quick releases to make mounting and unmounting the camera easier, so I don't have to screw the camera on every time I want to use it. But I would buy quick releases no matter which ball head I used, just because they are so much faster than screwing and unscrewing the camera onto the mount.Anyway, this is an excellent, solid ball head that does not weigh much, making it perfect for hiking. I weighed mine on my postage scale and it weighs only 78.4 grams, or 2.8 ounces. It can easily support my 3lb camera setup without any drooping in either horizontal or vertical position, and it is rather inexpensive to boot. I don't know what the weight limit would be, but it is definitely well over 3lbs. The product description says it can support 2.2 kg or 4.8 lbs. I believe it should be able to hold that without any problems if not a bit more even, but I have not tested that. The diameter of the base is 1 1/8" or a little less than 29 mm. The bottom to the top of the screw is about 2 3/16" or 55.5 mm. I can't imagine any other ball head this size being much stronger no matter the price, so...
