While some may, understandably enough, have reservations about purchasing human memorial urn online, or on Amazon, or anywhere other than a funeral service provider, take heart. We live in the age of "celebration of life" gatherings, and fewer and fewer families are engaging in the traditional funeral process. This includes the purchasing of caskets, urns, burial locations, etc. There is simply nothing anywhere on God's Green Earth that says you must spend several hundred (or even thousands) of dollars on an urn. Your choices of urns at most funeral homes are NOT going to include a lilac-colored, enameled urn with a hummingbird on it! And if they DO? They're going to cost a damned sight more than this sub-$100 urn, and who knows? They may even buy one just.like.this.one on Amazon and mark the price up 400%! Certainly not out of the realm of possibility. So, I stumbled upon this urn while perusing Vine items and immediately showed it to my wife for her mother, who is in the early stages of failing health. Her favorite color? Purple. The dozens of figurines sprinkled throughout her Florida home (some kitschy, some not....)? Hummingbirds. God Herself couldn't manufacture a more appropriate urn for my mother-in-law! The construction is just fine, and were lucky to receive one with very acceptable fit and finish. The lid screws on well enough, though the raw, non-finished aluminum surface on the interior can be prone to being a little coarse and make screwing the threads in line a little challenging at times. This may even itself out over time, but one must ask: how often are you expecting to unscrew/screw the lid on and off.......? The biggest - and really only - con of this urn is the black bag that is included. It's pretty low-quality. I would probably invest in a separate, better quality velvet or velour bag in which to hold the urn IF you plan on using one for whatever purpose (transport, display, etc). Other than that, my wife is absolutely over the moon with this urn and couldn't be happier. It IS elegant, and the colors ARE vibrant. It will definitely please my mother-in-law, as we fully expect to show it to her while she is alive. We suggest you look at the different offerings available through unconventional providers (such as this urn) before overspending on an urn through the local funeral home. We highly recommend this urn with five stars. Hope this was helpful.

I had ordered another urn from this company, and I was so very satisfied.And that was juit's a short time ago. Not to be sad, but I'm pushing 80, and a dear friend of mine just passed away and when I look over at this, I know that it's perfect for her. It's rather tall. But what's nice, the colors are nice and bright, and she was a happy person and it really suits her. The colors have lots of detail on them. The way it's packaged. you can tell it's a high quality item. There are several other. styles like this, just different colors. You also get a little bag that's nice. As I said, sometimes when you look at these things, you don't have the best memories, but be assured you're really dealing with a quality company. I will probably buy another sometime soon. Who knows? Frgive me for being a little down but rest assured, I'm very pleased with my purchase. And I really do think you will be too. The details look good, the colors are fine. It's rather large. be aware of that, but all in all i'm very satisfied

This is a beautiful urn as you can see in the pictures. The urn comes with a nice linen like bag and plastic bag which can be placed within the urn to hold the remains. There is also a funnel to ensure easy transfer without spillage. The aluminum alloy construction ensures the urn should last an extraordinarily long time.There were a few minor imperfections. The first were three close together spots on the back side of the urn where it looks like something was under the paint as seen in the pics I included. There is a minor paint flaw on the lid that is almost unnoticeable. And the final flaw is almost not worth mentioning because it cannot be seen when the lid is closed. It is a little rough area of the screw on threads where they thin out at the end. The thread issue does not affect the function of the lid.The minor imperfections prevented me from giving 5 stars. I still think the urn works well, and is a good choice for an inexpensive urn that will serve as a beautiful vessel to honor the memory of a loved one.
