Needed a more secure/tight connection to our 30 RV when connected at home and not in our port. Standard transition plugs were not cutting it, to much play in the connection. This provided nice secure, tight connection and has the added bonus of a little additional protection. I still utilize my better surge guard an the other end.

So I find I use this adapter more than I expected to. I always use it at home to get my refrigerator cold before going on a trip, but have found it useful on the road. We have pulled our travel trailer to family gatherings when we know to expect large amounts of family to show up either fighting for space to lay their heads or having to spend money on expensive hotel rooms for comfort. Instead we just pull up run a cord with the adapter to the house and walk out to our own living space when things wind down for the evening. It also came in handy at a camp sight when our 30 amp power went out but the 110 was working.

Just an extra precaution to carry when only a 15amp line is available to run basic lights or fridge. Wish the cord was a foot longer or the 30am side was offered with a 90degree connector option.
