This baseplate is a vast improvement over the one included with my Mastercraft Maximum router. It fit perfectly to the base of the router, and unlike the the Mastercraft baseplate it accepts the standard Cable-Porter type of bushings. It is thicker and more robust than the the Max baseplate. It is 6 1/2 inches in diameter which is 1/2" wider than the Maximum baseplate. This makes it slightly wider so with it attached to the router, the router doesn't fit into the hardcase storage box. This is a minor inconvenience considering it is a far better baseplate.

Comes with a pile of screws, none of which fit my Porter Cable router, even though this model is on the list of compatible routers.

even though it comes with a variety of hole selection, I could not find a set to match my router base. I had to add some extra holes in my base plate to make it fit. The centering pit helped to center it properly while making the modifications to my router though.

Even though the router I have was not listed as a fit for this plate it worked great. The router is mostly used for with a porter cable dove tail jig.

I cannot give a fair review because it doesn't fit my router. It is well constructed, no loose pieces of plastic, all of the holes are counter-sunk. Perhaps I will find use for it if I upgrade my Hobo Freight router,eh?

I had to keep a cutting board that I was making for someone else, because I messed up while rotating the router to go into a corner while cutting the juice groove. With the round base there is no need to rotate the router. The juice groove on the next cutting board was cut with ease.

This clone of other more expensive base plates is ok, maybe 2.5 Stars. The recess for the bushes is not accurately milled/drilled so the bushes sit at a slight angle. Should be able to be corrected with some careful scraping, and won;t make a huge difference to accuracy. Otherwise fits on a DeWalt DW621-XE using the extra screw holes in the router's base.

The router plate that came with my Craftsman router would not fit my guide bushings.( see pictures) I purchased this universal plate to resolve the issue and it worked great right out of the box. The new plate is larger then my 6" router, but that's not an issue for me. The universal plate is 6 1/2" in Diameter, Special Note: the mounting holes are slightly oversize so you must center the plate before you tighten the mounting screws, if not, your cut will be off center. I did not want to replace my router and this Universal plate gave it new life. Highly recommend this product.

The description is vague. This does not fit the Makita RT0701C. Having said that, it seems to be well constructed, and includes a useful number of screws.
