I wired this up to run a mister setup on the patio but I had trouble getting the proper feed water pressure to the valve. Too much, the solenoid would not open. Too little, the misters dribbled.This would probably be just fine for a drip irrigation system or something. For my mister system, I'm back on the search for something "beefier."

We have a slow slab leak on the hot water line and it’ll be at least a month before I can get everything arranged to have this major job tackled. I put a ball valve on the cold line leading into the water heater so we can quickly turn it on and off as needed - but as you’re probably already thinking, it was a massive hassle. Mostly because the water heater closet is on the outside of the house. I suddenly remembered we had some unused Wi-Fi outlet switches and some spare 12v transformers from prior LED projects. So I ordered this plus some other little parts to make my hot water app controlled. It was a marvelous success. Doing dishes, laundry and bathing now only require a quick tap on the screen. It’s nice to know what seemed like a massive immediate expense can wait a few more paychecks. The valve is very responsive and doesn’t leak. That’s as much as you can ask from a part like this.

I purchased this to electrically control my garden sprayer recirculation line. This unit works as described except for the fact that it leaks on low pressure. Such as when pressure drops from the sprayer wand. Once the flow from the sprayer wand or spray nozzle outlets is stopped, it seals the flow. Not an ideal situation.

This rating is for "wrong description" and not on the product itself.The thread on this solenoid is not compatible with the "garden hose" type of connectors commonly used in USA and Canada's washing machines. A garden hose will partially thread in but it will always leak because the threads do not match. The thread on the solenoid is a British thread I believe. Don't buy it for use with "garden hose" type of connectors.

Works great with standard 3/4” NPT PVC fittings in the US. Why can’t we get similar products compatible with 1/2” NPT PVC fittings?

clearly it fits a 3/4 piping, but if you look closely, there is a choke point where the valve is. i measured fluids through a 3/4 pipe without this valve, it had an output of 3 gallons per minute. when i used this, i had an output of 2.5 gallons. that was anout a 17% reduction in flow. it was not enough to affect its purpose, i wished it to be better though, but just be aware of the restriction if you have specific uses for it.

Need 12V to open it seems the valve works only in one direction and water pressure needs to be applied for the valve to open, water main pressure connection seems ideal. I am controlling this with an ESP32 and a relay, so far so good...
