This is a great pruning saw. This is actually a replacement for my first Fanno saw which I lost. I use it for pruning my apple trees and other trees on the property. It's very sharp and cuts through limbs very quickly. The handle is a comfortable design. I would recommend buying a protective sheath for it to protect the blade and yourself. I've tried several different saws over the years, and none come close to this saw. I highly recommend it; you won't be disappointed!

My boyfriend is an arborist needed a new saw. We looked through a lot of them, and this is the one he chose, he loves it. It is a very good saw.

Bought this after i saw an arborist use the exact same saw and it cut amazingly well. I had to get one for myself. So I ordered the exact same saw. I guess he got the magic variety with the exact same part number because mine cuts but not nearly as well as his. Mine sort of cuts just like my old rusty hand saw that I replaced. And this was the first cut out of the box so don't think I let it set around to get rusty or dull. And I started with a few small branches before tackling larger ones. His cut like a hot knife thru butter. Two stars because it does cut better than chewing. But I'm horribly disappointed.

My husband is a gardening professional, and this saw is the only handsaw he has ever needed. We recently bought a second (having had the first for about 30 years!). We only bought a second one because he wanted a new blade, and for about a dollar more, you could get a whole saw, so why not get a spare? It's a top quality item that does the job well.

I ride a mtn bike and perform a lot of trail maintenance. This is a great saw with off-set teeth that provides a wide kerf. I lost my old saw and tried one of the folding saws from a big orange building supply store. The teeth in the folding saw are flat cut that results in a narrow kerf, meaning your saw gets stuck or buckles when in use. This Fanno has performed flawlessly and I've cut several very large downed trees (took some time and effort, but easier than humping a chainsaw 4 miles, one way, up the trail for one tree). I just wish that I had bought a scabbard with it.

Have had this for about a year. It cuts quickly and smoothly through old wood, dead wood, dogwood tree limbs, 4" rhododendron trunks, everything. Clean cuts. Very light. So easy to use. This is the second one we have purchased, one for us and one for a gift. This saw was recommended for us by a forester friend. He's right- it really works efficiently and is no trouble to wear in the woods in a belt holster. Great for trail clearing and maintenance.
