I like the 'heft' of this - I have a plastic roller, but this feels more substantial, and not just with the weight, it has wider rollers so it is easier to apply pressure to the laminate. Also, the dual rollers is nice for allowing more distributed pressure. I recognized the other reviews that said the metal rollers may leave a mark on the edging. On stick on edging, and with keeping the rollers clean, I had no issue. Only 4 stars? Because I 'wish' it was less expensive. But, I'm happy with the purchase, and now it's the only roller I use, so, I guess that means I'd buy again.

As a professional carpenters that laminate on a regular basis i have had a lot of shoulder issues. This roller creates a Ergonomic force that reduces the strain when using this roller. Normal rollers have a handle and need two hands to use.Great professional tool good value for the moneyHave purchased several, my co workers have also switched over to these.

I bought this to replace a small rubber J-roller that I was using that was a pain in the butt to use, would sometimes slip off the edge and was awkward to use. The Speed Roller Pro is smooth, well weighted, much more comfortable and natural to use and having the option between steel or rubber rollers is awesome! My only complaint is like what some others have said, it is all made of plastic. One of the rollers was not spinning properly and I noticed that it was ever so slightly rubbing against an end, so I threw the heat gun on it for a slight second, bent the end out a tiny bit and now it rolls like a skateboard! The plastic is actually better than I thought it was (but not the strongest there is). My only worry is that if you were to change out the rollers often it may wear out their slots.Got it on sale so in all very happy with my purchase!

The tool arrived loose in the package and was covered in a greasy film, packaging included. And it was not the lite oil that would be expected on a new tool with metal parts. It was almost like bacon grease.Don't get me wrong, it's a good product that I have used in the past. Just poorly handled by the seller.I would recommend the tool but not from this seller.

This tool has really enhanced the quality of my edge banding. It's such a simple concept, but it really works, especially if you use it when the glue is still hot. It gave me a more professional, finished look.

muy bueno si te dedicas a la colocación de laminados plásticos o tapacantos, fácil de usar y no daña el laminado.

I have lots of fast caps products and there fantastic, this edge band roller is amazing. It’s got a low wide body stance to it which is really easy to control and apply pressure as needed . It comes with two sets of wheels for different applications which is great and very easy to change out, I would highly recommend this to anyone to have in your tool line up . Check out there tape measure as well .

This is a great idea but the quality is poor. It came with two sets of rollers. One set rubber and the other set steel. For rolling on plam edge banding it works great…until the rivets fall out of the rollers. They need to have a better way of installing the rivets in the end of the rollers which snap into the plastic housing. I ended up threading the rollers and using screws in place of the rivets. Now it works like a champ.

To manually seal edge banding one really needs to chase the iron to make sure it never comes back up. A block of wood is suggested. This is far superior as you learn better control over the seal can focus on edges better. Tend not to break ends is much and doesn’t mar or mark your edge banding veneer. Like the boys “race car” comments. If you do a lot it’s worth it. Feels substantial too.

Only came with one black rubber roller and one metal roller instead of 2 each.UPDATEI contacted the vendor and they referred me to Amazon. Amazon sent a complete unit and wanted me to print out a label to send it back (instead of just sending me the parts I needed) I didn't have a chance to get paper and ink so I missed the window and they charged me for the replacement. To me, it's making me take an hour of my time and spending 60 on ink and a ream of paper which I really didn't need, drive around town to deliver it... I finally got the paper and ink but by then was too late and they wouldn't let me print the label. It was their packaging that failed, so don't see how it's my responsibility to fix it. They way I see it, the deal we had was they send me what I ordered not me having to send stuff back if it doesn't come complete. In other words, they really just should have fulfilled their obligation and send the missing rollers.I thought I would contact FastCap just in case, send an email to them this morning and got confirmation the same day they will send the missing rollers with their next mail cycle. THANK YOU FASTCAP for being awesome and fair!! I'm going to update the star rating from 1 to 5 because of FastCap's customer service. I also bought 500' of their edgebanding from another local vender, their carbide trimmer, 32mm tape, fastbreak, and some other stuff within that last couple weeks and been happy with all of it.Zero stars for Amazon and the vendor for expecting me to put in so much effort to fix their mistake. I now have 2 of these rollers but that's okay.As far as the function of the roller, it works great. I put a 3/4" dado in a 4x4 and have that clamped to a table so I can slide the piece to be banded in the slot. The 250' box of banding to the side the threads through where the clamp holds the 4x4 so don't have to measure. Pull tape, cut with scissors, uncurl it, apply, a couple rolls from roller, cut ends flush, then roll for a count of 16 back and forth. The only issue I had was the roller would discolor the white banding for the first 200' but came off with denatured alcohol on a cloth. I recommend this tool, the carbide trimmer, and the fastbreak.

I'm new to edge banding so I don't have any reference, but I bought this roller instead of a simpler J roller. I'm glad I did.The heavy weight is nice--you can roll it smoothly across the edge with plenty of pressure. The wide dual rollers seem to save time and provide constant pressure and make it easy to slide across the edge banding. The only caveat is that you have to be very careful near the ends of the wood. If the roller goes over the edge / corner, it will crack any overhanging banding. Other than that, it works great.
