Therefore, if you do not hear any sound when the device is turned on, especially in modes 2 and 3, this should not be interpreted as an indication of a malfunctioning device or that the device is not working. The device is functioning as intended; the ultrasonic frequency is simply inaudible to humans.that when you set it to 4 or 5, the device will continue to alarm when the human body is in close contact with the device. It worked at scaring cats away, but after just 2 months, it does not work anymore. No good. I would not recommended because of that issue.

Hello wonderful buyers! Let me tell you about this solar ultrasonic animal repeller we got to deal with the pesky cats and small dogs causing chaos in our yard. So, we just moved into our new house, and we were all excited until we noticed these furry invaders sneaking in through the fences to mess things up.We thought this animal repeller would be the answer to our prayers. It's got motion detection, a siren, and flashing lights to scare the critters away. Sounds like a pretty solid defense, right? Well, sort of.We set up the unit in our backyard, and the first night was pretty quiet. But guess what? Those sneaky cats figured out how to outsmart it. They started coming from different angles of the sidewalks, avoiding the detection zone of the repeller. Sneaky little devils! The repeller was effective when it caught them, but it just couldn't cover all the angles they were coming from. So, we quickly realized we needed more than one unit to get the job done properly.I mean, the idea behind this thing is pretty good. It's solar-powered, so no need to mess with batteries or wires. Plus, it's supposed to repel not only cats but also dogs, squirrels, deer, raccoons, skunks, rabbits, foxes, and whatnot. That's a pretty impressive range! But hey, if you've got a big yard like ours and critters coming from all sides, you might want to order a bunch of these. We ended up getting four units in total, strategically placing them to cover our driveway and side yard effectively. So, here's the verdict: the FAYINWBO Solar Ultrasonic Animal Repeller is a good idea, but one unit alone might not be enough if you've got smart and persistent critters on the loose. Get a few of these bad boys, position them wisely, and you should have a better chance of keeping those furry intruders at bay.

Easy to setup and install. The only thing I would say that I didn't like were the hollow metal 'posts' to place it into the ground. I get it, lighter, less metal, reduces costs, not really a big issue. I just like to complain when my OCD kicks in.The good part, a female fox had a litter, I believe under my shed. Prior to the foxes, we've had deer eat just about everything. I had put coyote urine in the flower beds, but I believe that attracted the young cubs. They were in the bed 'playing' and trampling down all the new plants, destroying a good portion of them. It didn't dawn on me that the coyote urine could have drawn them in until I saw a "welcome" flag dragged down, displaced, etc.Anyway, long story short, I installed 3 of these and once the cub was in the line of sight of the 110 degree angle, the sensor lit up red, the ultrasound went off and the cub took off running. It was funny to watch, but confirmed that this would work as a deterrent. I had bought 3 on my original purchase, I've just bought 7 more. I think I'm going to create a barrier around everything :-)Next I'll see if it works for deer......I've read the deer frequency may possibly be different than the foxes. We'll see, but a deer walked across my yard this morning, didn't seem to bother it or was out of range or the kHz wasn't high enough for the deer to hear.

True story: I was replacing the sd card in my dash cam one afternoon when I heard the pitter patter of little bitty paws behind my dash. I thought to myself, "Surely there cannot be an ANIMAL inside my dash?" I verified with my husband to make sure I wasn't crazy. We took my truck for a drive up the highway to get ice cream and came back. The animal continued to squat. The next day, I called a pest control company who said, "Ma'am, that ain't us, you need to call a wildlife trapper."The trapper comes out and verifies there is indeed a squirrel in between my dash and the firewall of the engine bay. We pop the hood and it's created a cute little nest of palm tree nuts (why leave the house when you don't have to?) and chewed some of my wire casings. The trapper couldn't get him out and suggested I take my new truck to the dealer.I call the dealer and explain that I have an emergency and have a squirrel in my dash.Office scheduler: "A WHAT?"Me: A squirrel. Her: Ma'am, let me put you on hold real quick. They manage to squeeze me in and I drop my truck off that afternoon. It stayed at the dealer for five days while they tried to find the squirrel. They never find him and determine he must have jumped out at some point. I ask how I can keep the squirrel out of my engine bay and I'm told I need to leave my house more than two days a week.Meanwhile there IS a squirrel hanging out by my a/c unit outside, collecting palm tree nuts. We glared at each other. I shouted. It dropped the nut and ran down the opposite side of the fence toward the backyard.THIS. IS. WAR.Enter the Solar Ultrasonic Animal Repeller. Not only did I spray my engine bay with rodent repellent and stuff dryer sheets wherever I could, I also bought the Solar Ultrasonic Animal Repeller to stick in the ground near our ac units to deter that squirrel from getting near the driveway. I also stuck one in the backyard outside our lanai because he likes to climb our brand new, very expensive screen.Haven't seen him in a real long time. At least a month. So far this thing is working great!
