It was 5 stars, even went and bought a second one, now we are about 3 to 4 months into owning them, and one is completely dead the other one I have to start spinning it with something else. I don't abuse them, just a couple times a week use them to spin some powdered nutrients to dislove the powder. They sit on a workbench, no kids have access, they were not misused, they just don't stand the test of time. Not even for a little bit.

I use this to mix up my preworkout and field of greens. Works well for drink mixes. Make sure to fill the glass with water and turn on the spinning magnet, then add your powder, otherwise it gets stopped up.

This magnetic stir plate has really helped with my mushroom cultivation. I maintain my own liquid cultures and so when not in refrigeration; they need to be stirred regularly. I have a hot-plate stirrer but it will not get up to sufficient speed to really mix floaters on the culture top down into the culture itself. This little magnetic stirrer, however, easily handles this task and, in fact, I need to watch how far I turn it so as not to fragment the liquid culture and stress it. This product also can run for long periods of time without problem. I have had this running for several weeks solid now, swapping out cultures daily. Great product!
